eh..i have the manga but it is not one of my favourite. the story is beginning to become draggy but i probably would continue to buy to complete the set. among the teen girl manga category, i rate DNAngel and Fushigi Yuugi above it.

I've only seen the first 2 episodes of it, which were on some disc that my friend bought at Gamestop. I liked it, but haven't gotten a chance to read any of the manga yet. Maybe I should start reading it.

Fruits Basket is my favorite manga, hands down. The anime isn't too bad either. ^_^

Shigure and Haru are my favorite Sohmas, and for some reason, I just hate Yuki. O_o

'Cause Yuki's just too cool. I like Kyo more than Yuki... and Shigure is just hilarious XD actually most characters are just so lovable you love all of them...except for the people in "the prince club" or whatever it's called.

The manga is really good. 'Course, its the type of thing I would rather stuff under my matress then let most people know I read it.(Only my friend Annika knows I read it.)

Its cute. I want the killer plushie. But there were other things at the con.

I bought a Kyou-kun hat at A-kon, but I refused to wear it. It was sort of my top secret purchase that no one else was supposed to know about. ;P

Yuki is waaaay better the Kyo. Not looks wise(well, O.K, mabey looks wise also, but) I just like him better.

But as _jaye_ says, we all love them all in some way or another.

Yuki has a strange calmness to him. He seems to be outside of everything that's going on with his family and friends. Kyou just jumps into the middle of everything, whether that happens to be good or bad. I have reasons for liking both of them, although, I don't think there is much to comparison between the two.

I think my favorite characters so far are Kyo and Kisa. I have a thing for cats.

Yuki would come next, though, and Kagura just cracks me up.

Btw, I thought Akito was a member of the zodiac? I've searched around and I don't see any information on what animal he is. I found this site:

which listed the 12 zodiac animals and which characters they are, but Akito isn't listed there. So, what's the deal with Akito?

You have to read the manga to find out more about Akito. They don't delve into that story all that much in the Anime. However, as far as I have heard from people who are further along in the manga than I am, Akito is not a member of the zodiac.
Kagura is by far my favorite female character. She is hilarious. ;D

If Akito is not a member of the zodiac, then why is he the head of the zodiac members of the family? What is special about him?

I wish more of the manga was released in english. I can't wait to get my hands on it.

I only have up to volume 4 right now.

Well, according to what other people have told me, Akito bears the brunt of the zodiac curse. He was born so that the other members could live, basically. That's why he is always so sick. {At least, that is my interpretation of what I was told...} However, I have read a few fan translations of some of the newer Fruits Basket issues and things involving Akito seem to be more bizarre than it originally appeared to be.

I've started reading a few random mangas while I wait for the next volume to come out. I've started a system, though. I wait until two volumes are out so I have more to read. Then the wait doesn't seem as long. ;P

I hoped the anime would show what zodiac Akito is...It would be really cool if Akito was one of the animals in the zodiac
