anyone for renting a bus or something for all us folks with no way to get to Jersey? The tour's going to Rockaway, which I think? is Northern New Jersey. We could be the neo-anarchist brigade!

When I first heard about the tour, I pictured myself running up and down the aisles yelling "who's in charge" waiving a sheaf of username removed posts about all the stuff that's not right with the site! Yeah, I do get carried away sometimes

Edit - just looked on mapquest - Rockaway's 103 miles (a 2 and a half hour drive)...so way out for me.

My dad isn't too keen on the idea of going to NJ.
He said, "If you park your car there it will be on blocks and no motor and no wheels when you get back!".

They planned it that way ;) They don't want you to come within miles of their destination for fear of that very thing. Which is probably why they aren't coming to my state at all. Probably afraid that I'd do the exact same thing.. but with all the glitches and a demand that they get the support people they need. Just as well they aren't coming my way.

Nah, it's at a mall, we've parked in NJ many times (sometimes just outside of NYC) and nothing's ever happened to our car.

Hmm, I'm a PPTer (duh) and I've posted some complaints and they came only a half an hour away from me...

And before anyone asks, no I said nothing about frozen accounts and glitches, I didn't wanna sound mean.

I might go to the Rockaway, NJ one. :D

It's about an hour away from where I live... now I just have to convince someone to take me there. XD

Our car got egged today when we went into McDonalds for 3 minutes.
We have a stream of bad luck!

Actually, I hate to burst any bubbles, but that wouldn't do too much good. Except for the two artists, no one at the Tour actually worked for Neopets. I asked. Most of the people that worked at the different activities were local people and were hired just to work those 2 days. The rest worked for Sitelines Productions, the production agency that designed and managed the tour.

From a recent article on icv2.com:
"Wizards of the Coast is sponsoring a ten-city mall tour to promote its Neopets Trading Card Game, beginning in July. Designed to engage kids that have never played a TCG before as well as active fans, a 3100 square foot set will feature theatrical features, elaborate displays, and murals. Among the activities are live action demonstrations with oversized cards; learn-to-play clinics, which give each kid a 2-player starter game; artists signing cards and sketching pets; on-site league play; and a "trading zone" where fans can trade cards.

All ten stops are at Simon Property Group malls. Production company Sitelines Productions designed and will manage the tour. BRC Group, a San Francisco event marketing firm, will handle marketing for the events."

Wizards of the Coast is a company that makes all of the trading cards and is owned by Hasbro. So, in essence, it was an event sponsored by Hasbro to get all of us to buy more TCG cards.

But it wasn't all bad. I just redeemed the virtual prize codes I got from the 5 booster packs that I had won. I got about 25K in nps and 30K in prizes. Not too shabby for 3 hours of walking up and down the mall.

It was a Pteri, but it had another toe, was smoking a cigar, and was wearing a pimp hat. XD (don't worry she didn't enter it)

Do you know what I would pay for a paint brush like this??

Come on, PLEASE don't tell me I'm going to be the only PPTer at the Massachusetts one!

I guess so, since I don't live anywhere near there. Arkansas is the most forgotten state in the union, I swear! Although to be perfectly honest.. After the first big boom, most of the Neopets stuff sits collecting dust at the stores near me. Including the much CEO-coveted TCG stuff.

From reports.. I hear the art contest has a lot of dud entries because apparantly it's neccessary to enter tro get the stamp on your card.
