Okay, they've somewhat fixed things. It's down to just one item requested, and the request pool is MUCH bigger now. However, as Blue noticed...the original ones that were inflated are still in the pool. Hopefully they'll come down in pricing over the next few days.

I forgot to do my voidworks earlier, so 7:54pm it is. Laser Energy (book).

Well, technically that's 5 for today, but hopefully the two I don't complete won't count. I'll check in at midnight and see if I can get two more, but if I have to wait another 4 hours, I won't get 5 in today. At least you don't have to wait 4 hours after completing one! It's just whether you get a bad roll.

Edit: And a Blumaroo Fire Tail that's unbuyable. This is utter dung. Bah humbug. At least I got three done today. This better last more days than it takes to get the last achievement. It shouldn't come down to luck and being tethered to the computer to get all these achievements. Didn't they say it was designed NOT to do that to us? *sigh* There really should be a cancel button. It would help fight the inflation, too.

Edit: next morning, another 1 million NP item. Stop asking for random teas. Ugh. I'm not spending 5 million NP a day. That's absolutely frigging ridiculous. Come on, TNT. Fix this.

This is just awful. I could watch the restockers inflating the prices in real time. There should be a neopian law against price gouging!

2nd item, Jelly Milk... 1 million+. Nope.

ETA: Checked the SW again. Jelly Milk is down to "only" 800k. There appear to be exactly 8 of them on the SW, zero in auctions and zero on the TP. This is stupid.

I just sold my extra organic orange slices for 100k. More than I would pay for them, but substantially less than others were asking (by 90%). Hopefully it went to a quester and not a restocker. It's still more than 100 times what I paid for it, and hopefully it helps to bring prices down.

I snagged a couple teas in the tea shop while waiting for the one I needed, and I threw in what I could find in my SDB (but didn't go through the list -- just searched for teas, and priced them competitively since they weren't mega inflated, keeping one of each in case I need it). Again, figured every little bit more in circulation helps all of us.

7/14 reasonably priced

I did a 90% undercut, Blue. Probably too much... (But that was for something others were asking for 1 million when it was easily stockable in the shop for less than 1k, so it was still a 10,000% mark up. If others are asking 100k, I'm asking around there. Same for anything less.)

I am going through JN's list sorted by price. So far I don't have any of the super expensive ones on hand. I'll stop when I get bored. And maybe I'll manage to recognize something in a shop while I'm trying for my item, and make at least some of my NP back.

The most expensive quest item right now is a 20M NP stamp. Are you okay, TNT? You don't put stamps in tea. You put stamp (taxes) ON tea, and then we riot (i.e., dump all the tea in TNT harbor).

Edit: just found a million NP item in my SDB (a WoK prize). Selling it for 50% off. We'll see if people are actually paying, or just waiting it out. I can always lower the price more. (Or a restocker will grab it and try to sell for more. I won't know.)

Edit: that sold fast! Found another one listed on JN for close to a million, but SW has them as low as 300k, so it seems maybe the resellers are realizing people aren't buying that high. I hope the speculators who overbought to drive up prices end up losing NP in the end as the market comes down. Happy to help!

Edit: third strike of the day. At least I should have achievement two now... Yep! And the third one is only 15. Hopefully we'll have plenty of days, assuming the chapter is as long as previous ones and it goes until the end.

I stayed up late last night (after our company was in bed) going through my SDB and pulling out items that were expensive. I had a bunch of the food items for kitchen quests (which I suspect will be out for a while, because they're probably too expensive) and a lot of random ones that I've gotten as prizes for kitchen quests over the last however long I've been doing them. At some point, I'll need to update my kitchen quest sheet to include any of those that I sold that were prizes...but later. Anyways, I helped bring prices down one some of these items by purposefully undercutting people by anywhere from 5k-50k (depending on how expensive the items were), and then repricing when I could. If I cut the price down too much, I was afraid resellers would buy them instead. Hopefully, the more of us that pull stuff out of our SDBs and do this, the lower prices will get. Also, I expect that demand will drop drastically once people start hitting their 15 completed quests.

First two attempts today were stupid expensive and I didn't have them so I passed. (One was an item that had sold overnight when I'd tried to help bring the prices down. Guess if I'd not done so, I could've used it.)
First one I completed was cheap and I had. Second was expensive (750k) but I had it so I completed it. 3rd one was expensive....but had dropped 100k since I sold my one last night...so I bought it (still net 100k positive on it). 4th one was cheap. 5th one...is 500k and I don't have it. I'll try again later for #5.

Maybe I'll go through my SDB again tonight. Maybe. Might wait until tomorrow after company is gone. We'll see?
