Quick Question:

somewhat new computer...newest IE...yada, yada...

For some reason, I can't get the PrtScn button to copy the screen. Have I done something with the keyboard that I don't know about or perhaps a setting somewhere in my internet options. This is the same keyboard and monitor that I used with the last computer, just new everything else. Any ideas on why this isn't working?

It might be that you need to hit Ctrl (and hold it) then PrintScreen. Mine works that way.

Thanks for responding...I've tried both control & shift and neither are copying. When I open either Paint or Adobe Photoshop Elements, I hit Ctrl + V and nothing. I tried to right click to paste & edit and paste, but there is nothing there to paste. So for whatever reason, it is not taking the screen shot at all.

This button has PrtScn high on top, and SysRq low top, and Insert on the side facing me. Maybe it is stuck on insert? How would I change that?

Do you have an "Fn" button? I know that laptops have that key, but I don't know about regular keyboards. On my laptop, I have to press "Fn" and "Prnt Scrn".

Thanks for pointing out the Fn button, because that made me look at every single button again!! And nope, don't have one on this keyboard...bbbuuuuttt, I did find one that works like the Fn and it is called *drum roll, please* the F Lock. I feel so stupid. Anyway, so after taking the lock off, the Prt Scn actually works!

Yea! Thank you guys so much! I've been scratching my head over this for a couple of months...forgetting about it until I want a screenie, searching, giving up...a vicious continuing cycle that has thankfully ended!

Logitech keyboards usually have weirdness with those keys. on mine, "insert" and ScrlLk are on the same key, and the F lock makes it insert, so I usually turn it off to use ScrlLk and then the F keys stop working.
