Hi. I've just got on my comp and suddenly I need to click around 5 times for every 1 that it used to be. Help! It's really annoying me!

Make sure that there are no crumbs or dirt under the clickable section of the mouse, also you might want to check in Start > Control Panel > Mouse and try tinkering with the settings.

Other than that - go get another mouse - or retrieve an old one.

The thing is, I think it's my account. Everything works fine on my brother's account but wrong on mine. I'm going to search for spyware and so on when I next go on it, as that's my brother's computer but is faster, so I use it when I can.

So you're saying the first four clicks don't do anything and only the fifth one does? (might not be exact but basically most clicks aren't taken account of?)
