Unfortunately just the Avon catalogue... I've been so busy!

hahah, thats good reading, I used to like flicking through it 'cause of all the pretty eyes, despite the fact that I'm not a big fan of overly done make-up.
My old Avon lady used to have the most ridiculous make-up ever, it reminded me of the gun that Homer Simpson invented that shot the make-up on the face

and in answer to the Q I am currently reading 'Charles Manson, coming down fast' a chilling biography I picked up at the train station.. as you do ^^,
I also just started reading 'How to talk to anyone' sort of hoping it helps me be able to talk to anyone.. I sometimes don't think I have problems talking to people, I'm just bad at mind-numbing small talk :P

I'm reading the Prima Guide for The Sims 3 at the moment. Hmmmm sometimes I find the guides a lot more fun than the actual game itself.

Hold onto your seats people... the SL is back.

I just finished my summer semester (as far as english classes go) and I have some recommendations!

OK I read The Maltese Falcon by Dashiel Hammett, if you haven't read it before and if you like detective novels/mysteries its a pretty good book. Hammett was a democratic realist and what he was trynig to do with this book was take a popular art form and give it literary merit. He really wanted to show the reality of city life - its darkness and unofficiality.

Also another amazing book I read was Geek Love by Katherine Dunn. AWESOME book! Its about a carnival family called the Binewskis and they are definately one of the most twisted families you might ever encounter in fiction. I really recommend it, its got everything from moments of hilarity to horror.

Complicity by Iain Banks - Thriller and very good but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone younger than like 12 because its got some violence.

FoxFire Confessions of a Girl Gang - some people may have seen the movie, the book is nothing like it and its a good read. About a girl gang in the 50s.

After a spontaneous decision, I bought The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer. I'll most read the former right now and leave the latter for my night shifts next month.

DX I need a suggestion. Everything I've been buying lately has been rubish. I need someone else to blame if I end up hating the book xD

Working my way through the Harry Potter series again in anticipation of seeing the new movie. Currently in the middle of Goblet of Fire (we've just met Maxime and Karkaroff)

Attack of the Amazons in the Seven Sleepers Series, by Gilbert Morris.

They really are good books, but a little too thin for my likes.

The Chronicles of Narnia

I'm currently rereading The complete series of Narnia again because I'm super bored and all the books I been borrowing from the library are absolute rubbish and I end up taking them back the next day or even the same day
