I don't see a thread for this, so...

What are your favorite magazines? What do you like about them?

I live on Reader's Digest and Fortune. I also just signed up for Popular Science and Time. :D

The Digest is the greatest magazine ever. It would probably recieve sainthood from the Pope if it were weekly...

When I was little, Girl Talk was the coolest magazine... very cheap... until something happened o_O Then they switched editors again and completely made over the magazine and I didn't like it, so...

bliss is the magazine I read :D I like it because most of the photos have captions and they're really witty, and not only do they tell you who wrote the article, they have a "title" for them, for example: even if it's just the mag inbox, it'd have "POSTMAN PAT'S PRETTIER SISTER: (letter ed)" or when comparing celebrities with their brother/sister: "SHAKESPEARE'S SISTER: (article writer)" :D

Men's Health - although the coolness of this magazine I think is now questionable given its advertising of McDonalds.

Hold onto your seats people... the SL is back.

I have a subscription to Seventeen magazine, and I just got my first issue. :) I also get American Girl, but I've been getting that one for a long time. I like that magazine, but I can finish reading it in less than half an hour. D: I wish they were longer.

The only magazine I actually ever buy is BRW. I used to spend $500-600 per year on magazines but I refuse to do it anymore. I also enjoy National Geographic if there are any around for me to read - I suppose I like the universiality of it and (to some extent, for myself) the lack of relevance of it to anything that is actually important for me to know (based on my studies that is, broad general knowledge and the environment and such is good fun).

Popular Science and Wired. I like Wired more because it's bigger and it's funnier, but PopSci is also great. I love science and technology, so yeah...

What's interesting is I love the way PopSci's article headlines are designed, and I like the advertisements in Wired -- they're always so inventive (Backseat Driver's License anyone?).
