I expect nobody cares about this except me.

But I do care. So pah! In your face Ricky Whinger Ponting!

:D

(It's cricket, by the way...)

I care! *dances* Flintoff is so hot and compelled me to watch the only cricket of me life and guess what? England win the Ashes for the first time in 18 years! I'm a good luck charm! *dances more*

I care because I'm a neurotic cricket fan.

But you're right about Flintoff, I have a wee bit of a thing for him... :D

Heh. My best friend's an avid cricket fan and my dad explained all the ins and outs of it to me so I actually understand it now.

I did enjoy watching it really. I've been converted. :o

When I saw this I thought I heard about the Ashes somewhere else, and now I remember: I read it in Life, the Universe, and Everything. :P

Twee, Wicket Key Bail of Nature or something, can never remember. Another one was the award for the most graticious use of the word smurf in a serious screenplay. Oh and that perspex the judge had in the trial where Prak said hte whole truth! And marvins leg... and the improbability drive and whatnot. Earth is the only planet to make a game out of such a terrible war... explains why they have been shunned by the rest of the universe. Pity really.

Anyhoo, I may live in australia but i'm actually british, so I took delight in rubbing it in everyones faces today at school.

I'm sure the victory would've been sweeter if i cared about cricket, but it was still quite wonderful.

I've always loved cricket, always been a fan. Andrew Flintoff- personal hero of mine. Old Freddie. 'The big FF' as I like to call him. What do you mean rugby!? Ha, Jonny Wilkinson, he was just a flash in the pan! I've never liked anything but cricket. Golf what? Tiger woods who? I've always loved cricket! Slip! Googly! Spin bowler! See! Always been a fan. Crickets the new rugby! I mean... the new football! Terrible, all these people just jumping on the bandwagon, I've always liked cricket. Australia! West Indies! Trescothick! See!? Cricket talk! I'm a real hardcore fan! Ooh, 6! Bloody Australia, I'll boo them! Yeah, thats what crickets about, and I should know, I've always been a cricket fan. Always had an england cricket top. What do you mean football!? Ha! Football is for drunken yobs, I just like having a quiet 6 or 7 pints while watching good old england smash the germans. Oops, I mean Australians. Clearly Australians, I should know, I know all about cricket. Especially how we won the world cup a few years back. Wait, was that rugby? Yeah, it was actually. Ha! I remember how everyone pretended to be fans of rugby back then, but now its all over for rugger! Everyone comes crawling back to cricket. I've always been a fan though, always.

Flintoff is the very tall blonde England player. Bats at number 6 after Pietersen, fast right arm medium bowler. You may notice the black birthmark on the back of his head.

Has only recently started coming properly onto the Test radar, after he had a couple of terrible years when he was out injured and got, well, very fat. Played pretty well against the Windies last summer.

Skullsplitter, do shut up.

Rachel, Lee doesn't take a lot of wickets, but gives away quite a few runs, which is a shame because if you just see the scoresheet afterwards you don't really realise how much pressure he puts on.

Heh...I'm probably the only American that saw the topic title and knew you were talking about cricket. :P Alas, it is a sport, so this shall be moved to the Locker Room shortly.
