OK, if you were making a cute cheer up playlist... songs that are lighthearted and cheer you up, what would you put on there...

Fiona Apple with Extraordinary Machine
HelloGoodbye with So, This is Love
The Macabees with Toothpaste Kisses

Oh man, I already have like three playlists like this in iTunes, with varying degrees of cheerfulness.

These, however, are some of the best:

The Beach Boys - Good Vibrations
Mama Cass - Make Your Own Kind of Music
Three Dog Night - Shambala
The Monkees - Daydream Believer
KT Tunstall - Suddenly I See
Katrina & The Waves - Walking on Sunshine
Cajun Dance Party - The Next Untouchable
Vampire Weekend - A-Punk

NOW CHEER UP. :D

Hmm.

All The Small Things - Blink-182
I Melt With You - Bowling For Soup
October Fall - Keep Dreaming Upside Down
Here In Your Arms - HelloGoodbye

I don't exist. omo

Make one up.... lol, it's awesome.... even MCR has cheerup music!

It doesn't just have to be the words, it can be the bouncy beats. :)

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah - Disney

Underground - David Bowie
Never Ending Story - Limahl

AND MORE.

Buddy Holly - Everyday
Fountains of Wayne - Hey Julie
Jonathan Coulton - I Feel Fantastic
Justice - D.A.N.C.E.
Mama Cass - It's Getting Better
Man Man - Black Mission Goggles
MIKA - Lollipop
Paul Simon - Me & Julio Down By the Schoolyard
The Rumble Strips - Girls And Boys In Love (David E Sugar's Shameless Mix)
The Ting Tings - That's Not My Name
The Wombats - Let's Dance to Joy Division

I think you can get the Jonathan Coulton one free on his website, btw.

And yes, I do like Fountains of Wayne. 'Stacy's Mom' isn't their ONLY song, you know. 'Valley Winter Song' is awesome. LISTEN TO IT. I command you.

Oh, and as you can see, I am a mix of geek, old pop, and hipster. Woohoo!

Most of Great Big Sea's songs are good for cheering up. Always works for me. Especially songs like Ordinary Day, When I'm up, Donkey Riding, It's the End of the World As We Know It, Sea of No Cares, When I am King, and, again, almost everything else by them.

And the Last Saskatchewan Pirate was originally by The Arrogant Worms, but has been covered by Captain Tractor (best version, in my opinion) and Brad Johner.
