You do not need to click on the little arrow. Clicking anywhere in the "current" text area will reveal the next line. You do not even need to click on the actual words, just in the "middle of the bar" area in line with the character's image.

Still a little annoying to click each one, but it is better than locating the arrows.

With the new site theme, it is quite amusing for it to be snowing on them while they sit on the wall in the sunny desert :P

All good Siniri :)

Update coming...pages just aren't loading yet.

Edit:
11th December Update to the comic: Chapter 5: The 'Other Side'

Wow, can they draw this out any longer. Lyra is now going to Altador. Why?

She has her father's sword (the heirloom), why does she need to go to Altador?

Daze, are you actually expecting a Neopets plot to make sense? (I mean, one since the last "real" one, TFP, I think...)

AOTA, uh... I can't even remember the last few... Just were weird. Even some of the earlier ones had strange moments.

Although this update does seem to just be "hey, we promised an update, so here's a short paragraph to tease where we think this plot might be going."

Well......maybe!? :roflol:

The story although badly written at least was heading in a direction, and now it has spun out of control. So now we have the Ruins of Thanyros just sitting there. It is obvious one or both of them need to get there at some point. Can't wait to see how the rest of this story turns out.

EDIT:

12th Dec - The NC part of this event is called, The Desert Jewel. There is a link on the HUB page.

....and the Ruins have been taken off the map again.

EDIT:
18th Dec - Chapter 5, Part 2 released. (page 7 of the dialogue)

The Ruins of Thanyros is finally mentioned in the dialogue. Hopefully soon we will actually have something to do.

Oooh, maybe we can go through the maze to find our way out!

If not, that's at least the second comic chapter that could have had a mini-activity but didn't (getting successfully over the wall could have been the first - as long as it wasn't as annoying as Shenkuu Warrior I).

Update - Ruins of Thanyros is open to play.

Okay, I've gotten all the achievements except the time one. I just made it out in 29 seconds. What time do you have to beat?! I'm not sure I can get the doors to move any faster...

Edit: 27 seconds. I really don't think I can do it any faster than that. It takes time for the doors to swing, and I can't remove any moves at this point. Hopefully that achievement isn't unlocked yet?

Edit: 26 seconds. I keep getting extra scarab sands in my way. I bet I could beat 25 seconds if I were to get lucky and didn't have one of those... But if the timer is less than that, I don't know.

Edit: Phew. It is 25 seconds. And you can tie it. I had a scarab sand right before the exit but managed to just get the time anyway. Well, that was a fun step.

Whew. Finally got all the achievements. (Managed a 24 seconds at last!) Once I really understand what was going on (and actually managed to find the "doors"). Of course, now JN has a full guide up.
Still, it was fun!

Proofread! Please!

the lost heirloom will hurt him much more than anything I do ever could.

So I guess they are going to Altador now. And the diversion was just to give us a plot step. Cool.

New Update:
Page 9

Page 2 of Chapter 6 and we are still in the Ruins. The dialogue (writing style) is killing me though. I love reading and have read hundreds of books, some good, some not so good, but this writing is causing me distress!

For starters, why did Aurrick steal grain and the bracelet? It is not as if the two are sitting around together. Unless he grabbed the bag of grain out of the merchants hand and at the same time took the bracelet? He (presumably) gets caught (picked out of the crowd) and got into a lot of trouble, but somehow he still has the bracelet?
And this act of stealing the bracelet or getting caught taught him a life lesson?

EDIT:Re-reading that first statement, maybe he didn't steal the grain and the bracelet at the same time.
He might have gone back at a later time (and for whatever reason) stole the bracelet.

Lyra says it is important to him. Why would she know that?
Just because he didn't take it off again? If you steal something, either you sell it for the money or you keep it because you like it. Aurrick's little statement was so vague, you could take away any meaning from it.

Then his next quote is - Live to run another day. (Meaning that although you have failed or had a bad experience, you will continue on.)
How is that relevant to what he just said? His experience couldn't have been that bad (I mean, he still has the stolen bracelet and he is not in jail), unless someone got hurt or someone took the fall for him.
We know that he hasn't seen someone in 10 years, I am thinking his father. Maybe his father had something to do with it?
But that would be going off on a tangent, that I doubt is needed, unless this is the tie-in to Letters and Legends?

There is just so much empty space is this writing.

Well, there you have my ramblings for the week. My mind is working double-time, I can't sleep and I am so damn tired, I think I am going a little stir-crazy. :roflol:

Don't get me started on all the writing before this page. I. CAN'T. EVEN.

 Daze, I feel exactly the same way. I'm even often flummoxed by the stupid animations in the AC. So many unanswered questions.

You missed out on the worst of it: the chapter title (Chapter 6: Trust: Gained and Broken). I reread the whole pitiful chapter (which really didn't need to be published in two parts; I assume they made a mistake in not publishing them together, or maybe it was deliberate to give us a "Christmas update"), and there's nothing about trust being broken whatsoever. I mean, I can maybe see where they're starting to trust each other a little bit, but these aren't earth-shattering secrets.

Another installment to Chapter 6.
And as thieves do.....Aurrick has stolen the sword....

Well, the chapter title makes sense now.

Aren't their pursuers still nearby? Kind of dumb to be screaming until your voice gives out, Lyra... Not that she can get herself out of the maze of the ruins, anyway...

New Update - Chapter 7: Lyra's Run

More story and no action, although the dialogue suggests a battle coming (probably against Aymas Xendrik).

The uneven story-line continues with these amazing feats from Lyra:

1. Steals a weapon from a trained soldier.
2. Knocks the soldier out with the hilt of the sword.
3. Evades multiple soldiers to escape.
4. Gracefully moves over the dunes (before she got lost within site of Sakhmet's walls).
5. Finds the river without knowing where she is.

Lets recap her previous endeavors:

Chapter 1: Couldn't climb the wall, fell repeatedly.
Chapter 2: Needed Aurrick's help to climb an easier part of the wall.
Chapter 5: Tired and confused trying to walk through the desert. Didn't prepare any rations for the desert, not even water.
Chapter 6: Silly enough to trust a stranger who admits to being a thief.

But now she can effectively act like a trained soldier!!

So although in the first couple of chapters, Lyra was useless and it seemed she didn't have any training (Chapter 6, page 8: I was supposed to go to the Qasalan training school today),
it seems now (Chapter 7, page 11: The soldier moved in and Lyra took that defensive stance that she'd learned from all those months in training) she has indeed been training in Sakhmet.
