ETA - I of course immediately started using the avvie. However, I noticed this afternoon that Siniri's avvie was the default... Turns out so was mine. Revisiting Trudy's it said again that I had earned the avvie..?.. I needed to re-apply it in my neoboard preferences.

I actually saw Siniri's avvie had reset to default and found mine had as well and fixed it. Funny how when you actually see your neofriends online, it makes you think...
