I went and bought the 30 game ticket pack and was really surprised when I beat Lulu and got an item I could sell for NP. It feels like I pretty much paid real money for neopoints. I thought they said they'd keep the NC and NP stuff separate o_O

You can also buy items that allow you to either play more of one game each day or swap out the favorite game (I forget which, or if one was a limited time)... but then again, Premium players get a free scratchcard every day (with a chance to win something), and plushie buyers get a code to redeem for items, so it's really nothing all that new... At least these things don't give one a drastic advantage (I'm assuming Lulu's main prize will be a NC mall only-item, although even last year's uberrific prize really wasn't worth all that much).

But the more people demonstrate their willingness to pay, the more things TNT will start charging for. Maybe that April Fools Joke isn't too far off, after all.

Day 2

Shenkuu Tangram

AAA Score: 2000
Prize: Basic Tangram Puzzle Piece Kite

EDIT: To answer the above question:

NC Challenge FAQ wrote:
Yes, you can sell or trade your NC Challenge prizes if you wish. However, you may not sell or trade the exclusive bonus Neocash item awarded for successfully completing all 30 NC Challenge games.

My estimate is that the sum total of the value of all of the NC Challenge prizes will be at least 2 million NP. I'm not willing to pay for them, but some of you out there might be.

NC Challenge prizes: as good as or perhaps better than AAA prizes, but with little to no effort!

Also, they cancelled today in the news. How does one go about cancelling a day?

Just the news was cancelled. It is a running joke now, but back in 2004, TNT decided to sync the daily content, so the news could be put up a day advance. To do this meant spending most of the 3rd syncing 120 servers, hence the day was cancelled.

Full news of it here:

March 3, 2004

As you can tell by the old news, back then each news item came out on the day, which meant for people like me who live in Australia, the day was already over by the time the news for it was released.

Assuming Lulu's prizes continue the way they are, 100k every day for 30 days is a big leap from redeeming a rare item code or the once a week premium scratchcard. You usually win a small prize and rarely you'll get something cooler. But the Lulu challenge isnt a chance. They made sure the scores were nice and easy to beat. I disagreed with the featured game ticket idea too, but I dont think its on the same level as this. Its like $45 for 90k extra in a month versus $20 for 2-3 million extra in a month. I know why they did it, and I know theres precedent for it. I was just hoping with the NC Mall that access to money and paypal wouldnt give such an obvious NP advantage.

Anyway, Im not wasting my $20 bucks or blaming whoever else is challenging Lulu too. The prizes are fun :") So far, the wearables havent gone too well with my one customizable pet though. Kites and balloons just look silly with a dark and mysterious shoyru. But its adding to my closet anyway.

Kites are so mysterious, though. A couple sticks and some cloth tied to a string that can fly? It totally makes a mockery of human's lack of unaided flight.

I hope tomorrow's an actual challenge, unlike Super (Random) Hasee Bounce.

Do we have any inkling yet of when the Double Dares will take place?

EDIT:
Why is it that I'm unable to claim my Lulu prizes? I've beaten two of the challenges today, but when I click on the prize icon, I get a popup saying, "You have to defeat Lulu to claim the prize."

EDIT2:
Nevermind. You apparently must have your popup blocker disabled to do the NC Challenges.

There will 1 Double Dare a week - 4 for the month, which means the first one should be coming up very soon.
