Lab Advice

I've gotten the Lab Map about 5 months ago and I've been zapping two of my pets and they all turned out to be pretty cool, a Faerie Yurble and a Desert Tuskaninny with great stats and HP.
Gettting back to the topic, I've been thinking to zap my Christmas Shoyru that I painted myself in Christmas, it has pretty good stats, but I really want the HP & and all the other stats to go up, A LOT!
I don't mind the colour changes(As long as is isn't ugly
), it's just with the level changes, I really don't want my pet to go form lvl. 33 (which isn't very much), to something very, very low...
So should I zap my pet or you know, stay and be happy with my old stats o.O... Please help!

You might have heard about the safe level. The level starting from which the lab will no longer send your pet back down to level 1. So that way you'd get your training, and colour changes, without having to worry about your level going down. 
But I don't remember what the level is, so I'll just wait for someone else to answer that.

The level is five, I believe. You are well above it.

Ohhh, Ok... I thought that there was a lab chance of your pet going straight to level one with a high lvl.
