MC2 Challenge Advise Please!

I set an open MC2 challenge, which someone has accepted. They have asked me not to play it as they clicked on the wrong button!!

Is it true that If I dont send a score and they dont send a score that I wont get a no send against me?

I do feel sorry for them as I know the open challenge page can be a bit confusing!

I also can't play MC2 until the challenge has expired which Im not happy about.
