Ok here's my question;

what is the maximum size a picture can be?

See some pictures are more than 150 X 150 pixels. I'm confused here. Do we send a big picture and neopets shrinks it on the voting page or what. Can somebody help me please. Can you tell me what the max size it should be. I know i sound kind of New Member but i never really could draw when i first started a few years ago. Now i can draw pretty good. as long as it's 14k and under they'll let it be however size it usually is, however I don't like the bigger sizes it lacks details. and sometimes too big the judges won't allow it.

you can make it a bit bigger for size of the 150x150 and get away with it. anything bigger and you just might get rejected.

You may have seen thse already, but if you haven't- here's what the Beauty Contest FAQ says-

What size should it be?
The best size is around 150 by 150 pixels (this is the same as most of the pictures on the site). Most paint programs have the option to resize your working area. Try looking under the "View" or "Image" tabs on the toolbar. If you can't find it there then try searching the programs Help file for the word RESIZE. To make it easier for people to browse the pets, please make sure that the images you create are less than 17 kilobytes. Thank you.

I love it when people make a 1600x1504 picture, with an 80x80 picture of the pet in the center, surrounded by a thousand pixels of white area.
