Anyway, if they were to make a movie that could stand alone, as was suggested above, it might not be a bad thing. In other words, don't just make a movie as a giant ad for the site. Too many new people who would just have no clue, expect the site to work like the movie (i.e., pets walking around, talking, etc.) and alot of frayed nerves of regulars, staff and monitors.

For me? If they release a movie, I'll put all my Neo plushies on auction so fast (40 at last count of regular, 20 mini petpet plushies, the original Claire's petpet plushies) and try to get back some of the rl dollars I've spent on everything before the site goes under.

That's IF a movie were to follow the awful legacy of Pokemon and destroy completely what is for many of us our escape and fun.

I cannot fathom, even in my wildest dreams, anything good coming of this.

The day the movie...
*resembles Adam and Donna's random but fairly intellectual humor
*has decent animation
*has a plot that isn't painful to watch
*is written for us older audiences as well
*Actually pulls a "Shreck" and grabs the attention of the kind of folk we -want- playing Neo
*(EDIT: And stands almost totally alone, without being a site ad)

...That is the day I will donate 10 million np worth of items to the money tree. And don't think I'm kidding for one single second. I have the items stashed.

In this unlikely event, I will probably also invest my first fifty to a hundred bucks in Neo merchandise.

I also think some pets and people should have British accents. But if the previous comments weren't already far too much to hope for, that one certainly is.

Adam, Donna, any of the top TNT members who aren't simply marketeers- if there is any way at all you could supervise this thing- save it, salvage it, even a tiny bit- I would be more than happy (I'd be deligted, even) to have a few months without any new site updates at all. This is how badly I want to see this thing do well.

I'd spend unthinkable amounts of money on merchindise as well.

I figgure it will be your basic plot:

Dr. Sloth dresses up and secretly creates the Jelly World, from where he covertly runs a new plan to take over neopia. This time be breeding giant blobs of Jelly. A jelly chomby goes to save neopia, but the blobs eat him. Then the grey faerie tries to save neopia-no such luck. Lasty Asaparagus Man comes to the rescuse and saves neopia. Only the blobs of jelly die. The end

Have you seen the new designs for all of the Looney Toons characters? I shudder to think what they might do for neopets. I just don't see how this movie could be good for anything.

The new "Buzz Bunny" looks like a ninja... Ninja neopets- great. Buzz Bunny also looks evil, so there will be Evil Ninja Neopets. Buzz Bunny also looks dark. Dark Evil Ninja Neopets. He also looks mean. So, we will have: Mean Dark Evil Ninja Neopets. I don't like this.

I. Hate. Warner. Bros. Wow, people in the cartoon business are such idiots nowadays. "Hip and cool" or whatever my butt, what was cool back in the good old days can be cool nowadays. The new "Buzz Bunny" looks evil. Heck, all the new nightmares look evil. *sigh* I feel so bad for the future generations.

I would feel much better if they announced the newly released PIXAR as the team to work on this movie. But WB? The only thing they do right is Smallville and Teen Titans. If they can keep some adult oriented humor in there (like Shrek or Animaniacs) there is some hope. But I don't see it.

yeah, we all realized this allready.... mr. dohring likes dinero. And even if we dont WANT them to make a movie, we play neopets, and we are all going to end up seeing the dumb thing, arent we? This is why they are making the movie. think about it. million upon MILLIONS of kids playing this game..... and at some point of time, whether in theaters, or renting it, people are going to try and see this movie..... they WILL be making LOTS of money off of this.

And im sure we dont have the willpower to not see the movie. crappy or not.

So heres my boycotting strategy.
I WILL personally be one of those freaks who sits there opening night of the movie and record it..... im a super hero after all... sometimes, you have to do bad things to do whats right! Then we all download the movie and vwa lah. Everybody has a copy of it. I paid 5 bucks to see it. 50% to the theater, 20% to the actors, 2% to Dohring,..... in the end, they make $1.63 off of it..... eh. Whatever. I just hate the subject. And there is no real way to stop this except to get everybody to download the movie.... but thats not morally right. Thus, i am in shock.
thus, i am quitting neopets..... in time. Very soon time.... i said it before. If they DO create a movie, i will quit.... and i am going to.
