Besides the thing with Anshu, I also noticed that according to the cook, Hoban said that Linae kept going on about how he was bad luck. In her story, Linae does mention that she thinks he's bad luck but doesn't say anything about having talked to him. (I also notice she starts her story after she's said whatever it was that ticked Hoban off during the meal.

It is interesting that she remembers Hoban being at the helm while the others remember him being on different parts of the deck. (Note that the captain remembers being at the helm himself, at least during part of the storm.)

I still don't get how they didn't notice that Orrin was missing for the entire storm...

People, don't waste your sanity on plot inconsistencies. It's really unlikely that it matters if Hoban was first seen in a place and then in another. It's just TNT's lazy plotting.

Or just could be how everyones memory isn't so sharp and people often forget the little details - that's how I perceive it ;)

I think Banju is trying to shift suspicion off himself by playing up Linae's comments to Hoban, and that whole conspiracy theory between her and Anshu. I really don't like him, can you tell? >> He did it in the library with the candlestick!

That's true! But he is the captain...captains like to think that they do whatever they can for the ship when it's in peril. I'd be inclined to trust Linae's version more; she doesn't like Hoban but still recalls him going to the wheel...a very important and difficult position in a big storm.

I also don't think TNT's being lazy (despite that whole not updating the map and typo), I think they're trying to establish that everyone's memories are different and can be changed by this or that (Linae's dislike of Hoban, etc)...I defintely think it's deliberate.

I find it strange that any crew member of any ship would storm off somewhere and maybe jump overboard just because another member spread a few rumours about them. Talk about over-reacting

On about the 4th page someone mentioned that it was 12 am NST and the ship had not yet appeared. True? If so does anyone know at what approx time the ship appeared?

About it being in Desert and FL at the same time...wasn't it removed from the map before? Did anyone click on it in FL when it was in Desert at the same time..everything the same?

Also I have mention this b4 but it is is again...and i mention it again because someone mentioned it... I believe they might have gone to FL so that it would be possible to look down and check for Hoban swimming somewhere in the sea. As to why the desert...not sure...possibly going around all of Neopia randomly...more to it we are missing..?

I just know there is more to this than meets the eye considering all of the inconsitancies...there are just too many....but I guess it being a "plot" and all it should go a little deeper...

EDIT: After seeing this chapter it makes me think that Hoban didn't purposely sail them into a storm but was just to busy bickering and didn't pay attention.

Probably unimportant, but note how Linae's "Lost Desert Sunset" tile mysteriously vanishes, and then the ship appears underneath the Lost Desert Sunset. o_O

We don't know that it hadn't been going on for a long time, though. Maybe Hoban had low self-esteem to begin with and Linae had been badgering him about it ...well, who knows how long they've all been together on that ship.

'Sides...didn't the majority of people think he was pushed, rather than having jumped? *tilts head* I can't remember.

Maybe she's also an accidental fortune teller or her kou-jong tiles are magical? She does have a mystery island tile and they ended up there so maybe they'll end up in terror mountain or the haunted woods next because those are the other two tiles?

According to the Shoyru, Linae and Anshu looked as if they were really enjoying the food. According to Linae, they thought it tasted horrible. o_O

I guess the crew members were too busy concentrating on their own food to pay any attention to what tools the others were using to eat ;)

So far I find Linae's story the most believable and Chef Bonju's the leaast believable.
If linae is telling the truth then he would most likely have fallen off toward the end of the storm since she says she had to work with him multiple times.

And about the ship being both in the Lost Desert and Faerieland, most likely rather then putting the ship on the map they probably attach the map to the ship, and forgot to remove Faeriland, this would explain why it did dissapear from faeriland and come back in two places later.
