I was wondering, would it be possible the triangle on the front of the new crystal holds the key to which scrolls to read first, maybe like subtract your old crystals color from each one in order, say your 1st crystal was YBR and the 2nd crytals triangle has GOP, would you G-Y=B O-B, well that just disprooved my theory, and further strenghtened the idea that im an idiot...

I'm pretty sure everyone's useless crystal v2.0 is the same. With v1.0, the colors didn't show up until you clicked on it and looked at the zoomed in picture in the item window. With v2.0, the colors show up in your inventory. Mine's G(left), O(top), P(right) also

So, we've all been under the impression that if a light was red the first time and is still red, both crystals have red colored spots, right?

Well, what if crystal one has a red spot, and crystal two has a blank spot? That'll still throw a red light on the wall, but there's no red+red... just red+clear crystal.

Right, thats what I was trying to say earlier, that just because the color was there, didnt mean that it was on the second crystal, it could mean its still there on the first one!

You can quote someone by using the "quote" button in their post.

Exactly -- the first crystal is bolted on to the second, so the first crystal's red light is going to shine through, no matter whether the second also has a red spot, or is blank. So I really do think the second crystal has just eight colored spots -- the ones that got added on to create secondary colors.

Thank you, sorry im such a forum noo b (noo b translated into new member on its own, maybe a courtesy thing?), i ussually just read them. I appreciate all the work everyones put on here and the theories and everything. I stayed up till 6am to get my light again, and well, then i wanted to talk on here more.. and well where does it end... this is getting rediculous, i need a life. Im gonna finally go to bed, now at least im armed with some new forum knowledge. I only registered because I felt it wasnt really fair to just read and let everyone else do the work, I wanted to try to at least contribute something, weather or not I can I dont know, im also a rambler, I got it from my mother. Don't worry; you may be new, but you're not a noo b. It's cool when people register and actually want to help. The only people who are annoying are the ones who just want to sit back and let others do all the work, and then beg for answers.

I have finally realized why I couldnt get the 2nd crysyal even if I've received the sharp eye message

Turns out that the sharp eye message was the last message u received from the temple... meaning that no other books can be read after that, even if its ur ending scroll
Took me another hour to do the whole thing again... good bless that I written down all the coordinates of the scrolls

ok I just disproved part of my plan (see post a few back) and can confirm that you can't read the scrolls in color as on the wall (because I couldn't find the first scroll I thought I needed in green). I also couldn't find any scrolls from before (the previous scroll layout has changed), nor could I find a yellow scroll to read along with the blue scroll to make green. Therefore i will continue to read just the 12 scrolls (sorted by catalog sequence) in the order of the original crystal (BRY), which somehow mixes back in the missing color to created the desired result. I have nothing to lose, since i need to map these anyhow... i might as well click on them.

Would someone like to try 12 scrolls, in tablet order, primaries only? (If you have a purple nem now, and originally had a blue nem, now you'd read a red nem.) Or has this been tried and ruled out?

what if the only difference is the new sequence in the catalog? Meaning, use the same colors as the first time, just find them in the new order? Would be simple and maybe tnt wants us to think it is hard.

I have tried 7 different doors and see no pattern. I think it is just luck on what you get. Keep trying, sorry.

Arrg i take a couplke days off from neo and miss everything. I'm now waiting on the room to get light. I found on the neo boards a way to make a time box to show when the light will be lit " http://petpages.neopets.com/~Kiroptero"
Hope this will help me out here, has any easier way s been figured on finding light times?

Finally got the second crystal - I had to re-do the sharp eye message. That Sucked. Took like 45 minutes. I Must have read some other scroll after getting it the first time. Now i have to wait till 9pm EST tonight to get my lights (I will be at work the other time it comes up between now and then)
