Edit-
If anyone has any doubts about wheather or not Neo makes a profit, this ought to clear them up. :)

At the bottom, it mentions them making Neopet books
huh??????

Yea. You buy it, read until you're halfway through the book and then it says they discontinued the story due to "time constraints" and that they'll learn from their mistakes.

And please be sure to check out our sponsors. Enron, US Airways...

Twizzler, you aren't by any chance using an under-13 account, are you? Country settings will also affect the ads you get, so take a look at that if you're still wondering.

No, I'm fourteen, and Neo has my correct age. Also, I haven't changed my country from anything but the United States - that is the country I have right now, and have had ever since I joined.

"This is better than blatant and ugly banner advertising," says 18-year-old NeoPets fan Ravi Bhikhi, who logs onto NeoPets from his home in the Netherlands and spends about seven hours a month on the site. "I have no problem with it."

Well, now we have the sponsor items AND ugly banner ads. In fact, we don't only have ONE ugly banner, we have TWO!

The day we start getting pop ups, I'm leaving. For good. They always rail against the evils of annoying advertisements (Advert Attack, anyone?) and the site is practically drowning in them now.

I am most afraid of "Random Event" Ads. After that, I'm leaving.

Then again, it won't really matter. I'm guessing many people have already left in disgust.

Something has happened!
Doug Dohring says, "Eat at McDonalds! It's good for you, and it will make you happy! Not to mention you are making me rich simply by reading this! And playing my site! I'm running out of exclamation marks!

:P My pet's stomach was rumbling for a Dollar Menu Sundae. o.o

Ugh, this advertising thing is disgusting. What is wrong with Dohring?

Neopets Users (NU): Neopets is awesome!
Dohring (D): I could make money from this...
TNT: We will never have banner ads.
D: Let's have banner ads!
NU: Nooo!!!
TNT: Noooo!!!
D: Banner ads it is.

NU: We're quitting.
D: Just as long as you still eat at McDonalds.

Our kid is 6 years old and we have a few sites he goes on. Like the childrens TV sites. None of them he goes on have advertisements as brash as neopets.com. Which is the reason now I don't like him to go on it or change a game over without me doing it. Incase he clicks on any of these spy/malware installing sites such as the smiley central and value click.

It's upsetting that I no longer can trust one of my favourite sites to the lad. We are allways in the same room as him when he is online. But he can still acidentally click an add. Which I wouldn't be botherd about should it have been kid and computer friendly adds.

Doug needs a slap. 8)

Fine then! Let's just go to Wendy's. They don't have affiliation with Nickelodeon or Neopets, do they? :P
