Oops. I took a second peak at it. I must have gotten so freaked the first time I saw it, I thought I saw Sloth.

*Gets ready to be egged by people*
I thought it was well cute that little squeal. Yet well funny too
Too bad for kids though? Have any of you guys seen some of the cartoons and programs made for kids? Honestly, I don't think a young kid who saw that wouldn't have seen worse on normal primetime TV. If not, then should they be even playing on an internet game site? Thats one for the parents.
I think we sheild them from too much. Then again some people think they are sheilding them but are not (Goes back to my rant about parents sticking a kid in front of an internet game. Sticking on some nanny software and thinking it's just like the TV. Supervision...).
Our 6 year old would find it amusing. But he doesn't go on neopets, since it's too complecated for him at the moment. He prefers just playing mario and games like that.
Oh and another thing
WHY DIDN'T WE GET THE PANT DEVIL AS A BD CHALLENGER!!!!
My new account is 4 months old and no pant devil yet. I'm getting bored of waiting T_T

I agree that its not horrifying. It was sad a little as i said before, but its not something kids cant handle.
If they've ever watched the lion king and seen simba's dad die...its on par with that. Little kids are tougher than we give them credit for these days, or at least more desensitized.

I don't think parents would object much to the animation, unless they're animal right's actvists. There are much more violent cartoons than this.

Maybe if the feepit (or whatever it is called)
didn't scream and almost beg for it's life, it wouldn't be so weird
Vyra freaked me out. I thought that the end was going to be a plushie coming out of the pot.

I just have one thing to say.
What a weird ingredient for a cake.

OK, my 12 year old, who watches anime, saw Lion King, plays Final Fantasy, and is a pretty hardened kid, almost threw up after watching it. She said it was sick and that Neopets should be ashamed of themselves for playing such a horrible trick on people.
I don't think it is the violence, per se, but the surprise of it. And the fact that it is so realistic. You think of the Advent Calendar as being a nice thing--angels and faeries and good things--and it was just the opposite today. And the feepit squealing like that looks like a little, helpless puppy--at least to me.
When you go to other places on the site that are bad and evil, you know ahead of time that they are--and you can stir clear of them if you so choose. Personally, I don't play any of the games in which the petpets are eaten. They remind me too much of the pets I have in real life.
But, hey, my husband laughed himself silly when he saw it.

That...was....TERRIFIC. I LOVED IT. MWHAHAHAHA! DIE YOU FEEPITS! DIE I SAY!
That was quite possibly the best animation ever!

I didnt watch the animation until how horrid people thought it was, and I didn't like it much either... Even though I'm 14, I'm still saddened by things like that... I think they shoulda made a warning or something for the wimps like me...

That's what my mom said. (Sort of. She just thought it was a puppy in general.)
She was totally sickened by today's animation and said it was almost enough to make her quit. I guess some could say thats overreacting, but it was, in her words, uncalled for.
Now that I've seen it again all I can think about it the poor thing whimpering and squirming. I know it's pixels, but come on..

Personally I think y'all are getting a bit to over-dramatic. It is, after all, just a bunch of pixels. And as mentioned above, Neopets isn't all fluffy bunnies and rainbows.
I was really amused by it actually. Not that I think harming innocent things is funny, just the fact that it's kind of... so wrong, it's funny. I think they should have had Edna though instead of Hubrid.

No, it was horrible. So, what do you do for a 7 year old who plays and looks forward to the animation every day. How do you shield them from that, and how exactly do you comfort them when they get upset because one of there favorite petpets was being thrown into a soup and made into cake.
This really makes me upset. I realize that Neopets isn't all fluffy bunnies and rainbows...but this really pushes the line. Even for neopets. Yes. Let's kill the feepits by putting them into a cake. -_-

I think you all need to get out of the cotton wool and smell the chared feepit. No offence like

Has anyone else noticed the EXTREME difference between the boys and the girls reactions? -_- (mostly...this is not to say that all of the boys like it and all of the girls hate it)
