Apologies if someone has posted this before: It looks to me as if being buried in sand decreases your pet's mood: I was going to my quickref to swap pets off for fishing and was surprised that my normally-active pet was unhappy. (For that matter, maybe all traps do it.)
So if you've a fancily-painted pet as your active (hence, trapped) pet, it may be worth watching thier mood.
I have a Starry Poogle who is, right now, a pile of sand. She's content.
Though I don't know what she was before, so this may be less happy than she usually is.

why don't you just click a random trap door, wait an hour, go back again and start from the beginning, and try your hand at mapping? Otherwise you'll always find yourself wandering around aimlessly

The NEOCOLA MACHINE!
This seems entirely plausible to me, however it could be the 19 tokens sitting in my SDB waiting to make me a pretty neo that influenced my theory... nah, that's not it.
Stock up people!

At one time the red ones were like twice the cost of others, and even today they are a bit more rare, but usually priced only a tad over the others.
I think the red ones are technically the 'best' and then blue then green. . ? but the green and blue are and have been very close in price.
I think that I have used a green and a blue, but I don't recall what I got from it.
