Ohhh I see, thanks. I will soon have Velm so I will know for sure.

EDIT: Yeah it was armor for Velm. Thanks oliverrr.

Just a bit of a stupid question: where do I go after beating the Revenant(well, after checking in at Waset village)?

Yep that's right. He should be in the upper left corner hanging out by his little oasis.

I'm doing normal mode, i stopped playing after Zomzom but just got back into it again. The most boring part has to be gaining levels. I'm in Lakeside and just walking around till i get to level 15 and then save and head to the Lost City.

ahh i'm stuck..

I am in Seaside but when i talk to Uthyni it just keeps showing "What can you tell me about this town?" I don't have any other talk options and i've tried talking to him quite a few times.

I just really started playing this game a few days ago (I need the durn avvies...). Anyways, I really haven't noticed a problem gaining the "right" amount of levels with no effort. Then again, I keep it on hunting mode at all times. Am I the only one who does this? Is there any time I really shouldn't be in hunting mode? o_O

depends if you need to get somewhere quicker, but not having hunting mode on can hurt you like it did me i was working my way up to the chapter 2 boss and 3 huge chia dudes wrecked me like there was no tom. and i think i was L22 then and i'm like L27 now and i been leveling up since which is working cause i don't have to go to the camp to heal as often i can actually last a few battles depending on how they go :D

You should almost always stay in hunting mode. The only exception I can think of is if you're leveled up 2-3 levels more than you should be for that part of the game and you want to get to the next part faster.

On normal difficulty, you shouldn't have to do much intentional leveling up if you stay in hunting mode. Maybe for Zombom and probably for the faeries, but everyone else should fall before you with ease.

When i said 'normal' i meant normal difficulty. I do stop the hunt mode sometimes and i can usually get within 1 or 2 levels of where i need to be, i just rather be over the required level because it makes killing enemies easier.

Right now i'm in the village of Seaside and i am halfway to level 20. I'm going to save and then head downwards to fight the next enemy.

grrrr! Is there any way to delete a game on Evil? My brother played my game and chose Mipsy's first 11 skills as damage shields. I don't think there is any way I can finish

Mon Apr 11, 2005 2:29 am

Really? I don't hunt in NQII until after I have Velm, and even then only when I need the levels. Pre-Velm I do the "NQII-Shuffle" -- 6 steps in normal, swtich to hunting, go until I fight something, lather, rinse, repeat.

boatingbabe2001: It will be harder at first because you won't have Mispy's Direct Damage for a while, but you should have no problem finishing the game on Evil with 11 in Damage Shields. That's one of the skills I used on Insane... it's a pretty handy skill. I wouldn't start over (but I would try to keep my brother out of my account. :-) ).

i'm confused what has to be done to have the 2nd piece and gemstone to show up? guess i missed something

The one after the Revenant? You fight the Revenant, talk to Lafira then go back to the Village. Go find Lafira and talk to her again (she is in the top right tent as I recall). Then do to the desert (north of the valley of the kings so around the mountains and then west and you will see the hermit in the desert. Stand next to the hermit facing north. Talk to him. Walk as far north as you can then as far east as you can and you will see a notation to dig. Dig and you will have the send medalion piece.

Re: Hunting - I have certain levels I want to be when I end each chapter. I hunt as necessary to reach those levels. I typically hunt most of the first 3 chapters, about half of the 4th and none of the 5th. My rule of thumb on Evil is to be at level 19 at end of Chapter 1, level 29 at Chapter 2 end, level 40 at end of Chapter 3, level 50 at end of Chapter 4 and level 58 to face Terask II.

boatingbabe2001 -- don't delete the game. Having 11 on damage shields is good although usually I don't get there until toward the end of Chapter 2. Just use the shield and use damage potions until you can get a few direct damage points built up.

On Uthyni, you need to talk (not trade) with Uthare first and then go see Uthyni and get your discount and go back and trade with Uthare.
