I checked here and read about the problems, so I tried searching for the book on the regular shop wiz. I found it and bought it for 2600np, then read it to my pet. Figuring I had "access" to it, I went to the Advent Calendar. Sure enough, it showed up for me, and I got both prizes!

Edit: Thanks aeb101185, and czarinek521 for sending it to me. Now I have two. 
The book is odd. Sometimes it'll let me search it sometimes not. I managed to buy two at 2800. One I read to my pet and the other for my sdb.
I also want to see the animation for Dec 26, 2006. I heard it was interesting.

Ok, this may sound like a stupid question, but how many people that got the book, didn't get the Bori plushie earlier? The only reason I ask is because I didn't get the plushie, but got the book.
It's probably a silly theory anyway.

Today's animation was interesting. I'm not a fan of the animations that don't really end, but are just on a loop. I love the prizes though! Fortunately, I didn't have any problems with the prizes. The petpet is 
. I've attached it since there may be an avatar associated with this petpet in the near future, as has been the case with other Advent petpets. Finally some good prizes!

You may be on to something there. I didn't get the plushie and got the book, my friend got the plushie and didn't get the book.

I got the plushie earlier and got the book today, no problems.
Maybe the glitch goes by username, like the regular shop wizard does or something?

My username starts with "B". Got plushie, no book. First time searching book, saw it, but had to dump about 5-9 junk items in order to buy the book, found out someone bought it, went back, couldn't find the book. Then I posted my complaint, searched it again, found it, bought two.

I"m glad we got a petpet, especially such a cute one!
I was lucky enough to not have any trouble getting the book...I got the plushie (it kept disappearing and reappearing in my inventory for a little while).

I think that no matter what you try to do with Brightvale, A Complete History, it will disappear on you -- whether you get it from advent, or not; whether you buy it from someone else's shop, or from the auctions. Even if you read it to your reading pet, eventually it will disappear from your pet's reading list. It is searchable on the Shop Wiz, keep refreshing even if it doesn't show up sometimes. The Auction Genie will also show it to you a couple of times, and then he'll say: Sorry, couldn't find anything matching that description! But, if you bid on any, you will be able to see your bids when you click on My Bids. 
If you try to send it to somebody, it will either show up as a little box with a red X in it, or it won't show up at all!
Once it's in your Items box, and you refresh and it's not there, DO NOT REFRESH AGAIN. Instead, hit your backspace key to go back to that previous page before it disappeared...then carefully decide what you want to do with book. Some people are saying it can't be traded.
So be careful how you handle this book and take care as to where you want to move it to! But, I think that no matter what you do, at some point the book will disappear -- and perhaps not show up again at all!

Didnt get the book and it wasnt showing up on the wiz untill just now. Was able to buy two @ 2,500
