I think we are all well aware of where the letters come from now.

I think the usual "please read through all other splits and posts before posting" note should be added to the first page. It'll make me stay sane for much longer.

I'm bored of waiting for stuff to happen now :(

Ditto. Woo for the ship being back and all... but it'd be much nicer if it DID SOMETHING!

:o All five gazillion splits and posts?! :(

It really doesn't take that long, I did it for the Altador plot and most of it was actually people repeating what had already been said because they hadn't bothered to read the ones before. It makes life so much easier if you do just read them. :)

I must say reading through this thread started to remind me of 'Who's on First' :roflol: Amazing how many people can't be stuffed to take a few minutes to read before inserting their foot firmly in their mouth and quite entertaining since nothing is happening plot-wise that I can tell. Perhaps I'll go to the neoboards for more amusement or play Beach Scrabble on Mystery Island. :P

Yep, it's only polite. There's not that much really, and if you're keeping up with the plot on a semi-regular basis there's only a few new pages to read before you post.

Plus from what I've seen it's only the early birds who tend to be huge on the theorising latecomers tend to want to follow the steps

I don't think you even need to read them all :P just the latest 2 pages should give everyone a summary of the last events and the last theories (usually with 2 people who say "Look at the letters on the beach!" and 3 who say "That's not a clue stop mentioning it!")

Lol I balme the neoboards for that XD But yea, it's only the right thing to do.

I would quote the previous posts but I have a feeling it would start to get silly :P

Yep you're probably right about reading at least a few pages back before you post, I tend to do it anyway to prevent me looking like an idiot (the edit button is also my friend).

It's the reason I've given up on the neobards for plot relatedness, I just get fed up of the million people (ok, maybe a slight exaggeration) saying "lyke PNG!!1!" and then saying something completely obviously unrelated. And it wasn't just one board either, it was like every idiot who saw a mention of something would make a board on it without reading the several pages of posts which pointed out the board maker was wrong.

(Side note: At least the letters on the beach theory can be forgiven because the boat is at least on mystery island but some of the ones suggested for the altador plot were ludicrous. I still haven't fathomed how anyone could connect a random parrot on mystery island that has been there for aeons with a mini plot happening through a portal in faerieland.)

And don't even get me started with those who post without reading through the very thing they're posting about, like the fake "altador plot is finished" news post. I mean seriously, the number of boards about it and it was like "and read three paragraphs below... there you go"

*deep breath*

Sorry for my nini rant, I'm a firm believer in actually having something useful to add to a discussion when posting.

Lol, more like....

"OMG@!!!!!11211 I lIke F0und @ c7u3" Or

"OMG!!!11121@@@31# What's thIs Plot?212!" Or

"Wh3t u talkin' 'bout?!"

Speaking of chaotic boards, Ollie's been stirring things up today posting seemingly random and possibly useless clues. Is this a normal occurance during plots?

Thu Aug 10, 2006 7:04 pm

What's He Sayin'?

Thu Aug 10, 2006 7:12 pm

"I like jolly jugglers"

"I like bouncy supreme"

and a lot of "*burp*, *meep*, *lurk* etc.

Apparently earlier he had a picture of a Blumaroo Ice Cream Sundae on his lookup, so of course people are scrambling to test with it, and there's mention of book in the chaos of the boards but I didn't see either first hand. I think he's just messing with people.

Yes, I believe so. He did it during the last plot. A few times in the past, tho, he did give useful clues. So, he can both stir the boards into the frenzy and have the potential of offering a real clue.

Probaly...

But Those games do catch me... They all have to do with a food + the sundae... Does make since....
