From this article ( link ) ::

"Winning teams for each round are determined by the teams' collective wins/losses and the number of goals each individual player scores.

At the end of each round, players on losing teams can join another team and continue in the Tournament."

Stretchy Link Shrunk!

o.O

All I can say is, why didn't they explain the score system to us players, too?

Well, obviously they don't trust us with such important information! ;)

Or else, they didn't want to post the scoring method, for fear of some lazy people managing to find a loophole, that means that they can have the best results without doing anything. They probably have their own warped logic about it.

Don't forget too, that the same article specifies prizes for people who have been on the winning team since the first round. It's hardly going to be worth playing after you get knocked out... maybe one game each round...

Just a reminder, I guess round one ends tonight (June 11) at midnight NST. I wonder if we will get to see the results right away automatic, or have to wait for News to be updated on Monday, and how long the "inbetween" rounds lasts so we can try out and pick other teams? o_O

I don't think they'll announce it right away, I think they'll do it with one of those "tournament updates", so they'll probably have to do some writing first...

And I'm all in favor of long waits till the next round, or at least a longer round, cause I'm right in the middle of my finals at the moment, so I can't fully focus on winning a lot of games at the moment... And next weekend I'll be in Paris from Saturday till Tuesday, celebrating the end of my finals and the end of my college career :)

Why would they say it's determined by the amount of wins and losses/individual goals and not the percentage of wins, etc. of the Neo users for one team? There has to be a fluctuation in the number of people supporting different worlds. >_>

Because people can send loses or they can just press "Play Again". Which will make the honest people get screwed. I mean I lost once and I submitted it (evil faerie ball).

The article says "collective wins/losses" AND "individual goals" implying that even if you lose, your goals count for something. Then again, a loss will affect the collective. So it is not so much "dishonest" (not that I am implying that you are implying ... ) but discernment.

If you scored an unusual 9 goals but still lost, you *might* want to submit that if your usual is 1, 2 or 3 goals, let's say, and you don't plan on playing much. For most others, if 5, 6 or 7 to 9 goals is common and you are already racking up points, then obviously most would choose not to submit and just to play a better game. In the end this seems to sort of even out the fact that the people that play the least might also be submitting more losses but affecting the overall team in the least way possible.

To be on the safe side I am submitting my ties, since I would like to submit those individual goals but not a loss, since out of 50 games or so less than a handful have been actual losses and minor ones at that. I am assuming that is why they gave us the option to submit a loss, but to also be careful about it and think if it might matter to the overall team. Then again I have no idea about the scoring. I only hope it is fair and sensible.

I have already stated my ideas on scoring, so I'm not going to make any comments on the matter. What I would like to say, however, is that I will no longer be accepting orders for souvenirs. I will do my best to fill the orders I've recieved, but my computer has become evil and keeps varying my refreshes. Therefore, I have been having limited luck on obtaining rarer items. Those of you who had requested jerseys, I haven't had any luck on a single one, but came close to getting one, cursed Lutari saying my offer wasn't good enough for him.

I will, though, allow for a few more orders for those who weren't aware of my offer. I ask only that I get what I paid for each item, which is a better alternative to all those gougers. The closing of the service is also to allow myself enough time to try and get all of the orders filled before the current round ends, which I assume to be the 16th (week-long rounds). My concern is that the shop may stop carrying merchandise supporting the losing teams, which would cause the people seeking the items in dire straights.

I will post when I have COMPLETELY shut down my service, so those wanting merchandise should contact me quickly.

I would be interested in seeing an Altador Cup souvenir gallery. Anyone know of one?

Each team member will face off against an opposing team's player

Ummmm...?

Don't you know anything about Scientology? "Dont Q and A", they say.

Mine's sort of a AC Souvenir Gallery, I only have Darigan Citadel stuff, and only the cheapies.

I'd like to have my previous post stricken from the record. I found out my brother was still logged in on the computer on his account, so I logged him off and now there's smooth sailing on the Souvenirs, managed to snag 3 Mystery Island items on the last two restocks.

in other words, ALL ORDERS ARE BEING ACCEPTED

For those who don't know how I operate:

*Send me a Neomail(preferred) or PM. PMs MUST include your neopets username, so I know who to contact once the order is up/ reserve for on the TP.

*I camp out in the Souvenir Shop at night and try to fill my orders. Once I fill one, I neomail the user with the items I have and the amount it cost me and put the items on the TP.

*All you need to do is offer on the lot with NP equal to what I paid. The item can be whatever(junk or a goodie as a reward). If you want to add anything extra for my time or service, it is appreciated, but not required.

Those asking why I'm doing this, it's because I am an understanding individual. I know that there are people out there with slow internet connections or computers with slow processors and it isn't fair that those people should have to pay absurdly high prices for something that costs considerably less. Also, it is in thanks to those great people here at PPT who have helped me out in the Altador Plot, game strategies, money making advice, etc.

On a side note: I have no control over what is stocked, so I may take a while to fill your order. (Example: I have YET to see a Darigan Jersey)

Yay! My last scores/wins were 9-0, 8-0, 6-1 (awww), 9-2, 9-0 (finally got to see what that Super Goalie was like), and 9-1 (I swear I almost got him this time with the mutant ball but then they got me last second darnit).

I racked up 50 wins and 6 ties and I wonder if we can still play until they "pull the plug" so to speak or if scores won't sumit or be counted? Sorry, I am just very excited. Super Goalie alone got my heart racing a bit too fast.
