as much as i am in favor of making it easier to train, im hugely against the idea of doing it by beating opponents. it would promote lending of weapons and lots of other unsavory practices.
ill let you know a few things that you probably werent aware of.
1) It used to be only 4 codestones max no matter what to train. Not even counting faerie quests and other stuff like that, 4 codestones max was huge back in the day. Majal had already had 7000++ hp by the time the system changed. If you were willing to play 24-7, you could easily gain at least 4 points a day, reasonably cheaply (average codestone price was lower then than now).
2) faerie quests were more common. though i was never around for the days of unlimited faerie quests, they were more common when i started
3) how can you forget about the kitchen quest. this is cheap if you need it to be, can give very useful items once in a rare while (it used to give out sinsis swords back in the day when sinsis swords went for 200k a pop). If you are on frequently and can afford to pass on quests, you can train VERY cost effectively like this
4) what cran said. just dont push it right to the border. id get to say, 18-35-35-35, then maybe push the hp upto 50 something, that way you have ab uilt in margin for error, or if you get a fire faerie quest, you dont need to fret over it. hopefully that makes sense.
