reposting visual image of what to do to read scrolls:



1. Use crystal and get colours (note: check source code for EXACT order)
2. Match colours against Mysterious Tablet symbols
3. Using these colours + symbols(eg yellow Ra) and the colour code of your Useless Crystal (eg: Red Yellow Blue), list in order of YOUR card catalogue.
4. Read these 12 scrolls in order of card catalogue (In this case all the red scrolls THEN yellow scrolls THEN blue scrolls)

After you have read ALL 12 scrolls THEN you should receive the following message:
Hmm, interesting! Your pet deciphers the scroll! "A sharp eye holds the next step."

Mine totally didn't work. I matched the stuff from the wall to the tablet and re-ordered it by crystal color and by catalogue order, and I always made sure the thing said the right room, and the whole thing took me like an hour and a half.

Nothin. Nada. It's 3 am. SO VERY FRUSTRATED.

Half my scrolls are in the basement! I don't want to do this all again!

God, I hate this repository.

put in order of my card catalog will give me:

yellow djo - lost desert literature biographies - 4,6,2,3 - I don't think that scroll was very much fun.
yellow set - lost desert lit, non-fiction - 9,8,1,2 - boring
yellow tep - artisan licensing records, other - 25,26,3,5 - What an interesting scroll.
yellow kha - anubis toxicology reports - 11,5,3,1 - Hmm, interesting!

blue kha - snarkie answers to stupid questions - 31,28,1,4 - interesting
blue djo - snarkie asnwers to stupid questions - 33,19,2,5 - boring
blue tep - dress patterns - 5,7,1,4 - interesting
blue ra - coltzan royal archive, room 932 - 25,48,1,4 - never knew that before

red kha - desert flora - 21,38,4,4 - interesting
red ra - the stacks, western archives - 3,11,1,3 - wasn't much fun
red nem - selected royal works - 4,5,1,1 - interesting
red fer - selected royal works - (2,5,1,3 - interesting) (5,5,1,3 - boring)

However, I can't seem to get the "sharp eye" confirmation message...
Am I doing something obviously wrong?
For example, the last scroll, I have two red fer scrolls in the appropriate section. One gives the 'boring' response, the other gives the "mm, interesting" response. I've been using the 'interesting' one because it seemed more right, but on the other hand, I can't find a yellow set in the lost desert lit - non fiction section except the one that gives the 'boring' response.

I didn't get the "Sharp Eye" message after I completed my scrolls. So I went back over my papers and found my mistake (it had to do with repeating a scroll twice). Anyway, does anyone know if I have to start all over again with the 1st scroll, or can I (hopefully) pick up from where I made my mistake (my 8th scroll).

You're reading just one scroll with appropriate markings (totalling 12), right?

That was how many tries it took me. Just stick with it. All will work out then you can go on a rampage and get your revenge on this cruel world. (PS: Look for me on CNN to see how well I handled the stress [just joking, I use creative outlets for my rage]).

Kess, you made sure to read the scrolls in the order they appear on the card catalog, top to bottom, right? And there should be only one matching scroll in each section... only one yellow djo, one yellow set, etc.

can you confirm this is the right order and stuff for me as I am severely dyslexic and need help.

I'm afraid you will have to start over from the first scroll

most of my scrolls got the boring response, try reading that one. also whe you came to the area that had two did you read them both or did you read the second time during a new full cycle? dont forget to only read one at each location.

when i went through them getting the order wrong i had scrolls repeated, but when i got it right there was only one of each type in the area, even were there had been repeats before. keep trying.
