I wanted royalboy and I'm a girl. I hate almost every royal girl, except Flotsam. >_> Royalgirl Korbat, I wouldn't mind as an avatar, but I favor royalboy FAR more.
The gender thing was just a new twist, since we're always "complaining" about clickables. =P

Ah, the question of which one to get... I'd sort of like to get the Boy one, since it's not my default, but I don't exactly like the way Royal Boy Korbats look. Such a bother.
Edit: I decided to go with the guy, just because I'm a guy and it would make more sense for me to have the guy one.

Yup, completely correct: I've tried looking up a female royal korbat and didn't get a thing, but when I looked up a male royal korbat, I got the female avie.

I think I'm going to hold out on this one for a bit until I get a bit less confused about what gender what...what *scratches head* I'm not sure if I should get the male or female. I want the male, but seeing as I'm female that might get confusing...not for me, I mean for the neoboarders...

well, i appreciate not being locked into a gender identity, which is very progressive of TNT, but i still wanted the girl one.

Yep, that's exactly how to get the female -- to get the male, you have to set your account to female & visit a female royal korbat.
