I just thought of something they should add. You know how when you make a pet, it happens kind of quickly? Well I think there should be a whole world for new players. There would be a place where you go in and pick out your egg and then you hatch it and name it and everything. Adopting a pet should be more interactive. I think also they should have some pets that are just born certain colors. Like if you are very lucky you could find a darigan colored egg or another color of egg.

I love that idea! It's just scary that once upon a time, in an old, old account far, far away, I remember I was saving up for a 300k faerie paint brush and now they're selling for 1.5 million or so. 0_o Colors should be more available; while the challenge of Neopets is one reason so many people keep playing the game, I think the almost-impossible prices of many things nowadays makes Neo very discouraging for 'poor' people (*cough*like me...).

On that note, another way to make colors less rare is to guarantee a Fountain Faerie Quest within the first twelve months of an active account. That way, everyone can have at least one of their dream pets.

The downside to this would be scammers and pet-sellers/traders creating tons of accounts in hopes of getting rare-colored pets. Which leads to my next suggestion -

Allow users to have up to four side accounts when they sign up. I recall on some site or other I was a member of (Yahoo? The Sims?) they had this system where you created one master account, but you could add up to a certain number of aliases. If Neopets did this, it would keep side accounts under control and clear up the vagueness of what you can and can't do in side accounts by allowing TNT to limit the abilities of side accounts. For example, you wouldn't even have the option of visiting dailies or playing games on a side account. And you could only have one normal-type account, otherwise you'll be warned, and if you don't self-freeze one of the accounts, you'll be frozen and your IP banned.

The trouble with that is what to do with everyone's current side accounts. I mean, yes, you could make it so that you can change them to side accounts...but I'm sure this will create an opportunity for hackers or people will exploit the confusion somehow. And under this system, families would have to share an account, which I doubt would go over well. (I myself hate sharing things *cough*spoiltonlychildsyndrome*cough*).

There has been discussion before (not sure exactly when) here, and on the neoboards about having a way to "link" your own accounts so that you couldn't do any dailies/play games, etc. on any side accounts, even accidentally. Which with the username all the way at the top of the page could happen. Me? I'm hyper paranoid even when it comes to setting up a junk trade on one of my side accounts just to send omelettes I buy on my main over to the side account.

Part of the linking idea included the ability to be able to transfer pets between your own accounts, even if there was a transfer fee involved. That way, people couldn't try to transfer to someone else - they could only transfer to their own account. Also being able to "lockdown" your account in case of being hacked/cracked/scammed. Whoever got in couldn't disown your pets/empty your bank, gallery, shop, sdb. And you could choose how long your account was locked down - could be useful if you had to be away from the computer for vacation, etc. I know you can "lock" your bank by making 15 withdrawals, but that only works until the next day. And you could abandon a pet, locking your other pets until the next day, but what if you have 4 pets you're attached to? There's no way to protect your BD equip, petpets, inventory, shop/gallery, sdb, trades.


As far as sharing a computer - I wrote to TNT to let them know there were 2 people using the same computer, gave usernames/pet names and all the info about my own accounts (don't know that much about my roomie's), and I have a little something on my lookups (have 3 accounts of my own). We (my roomie and me) also worked out dailies - I can afford to buy food for my pets, she's a very casual player cause she's almost never home. So I do all the other dailies (she has no interest in them), and she goes for the omelettes and jellies to keep her pets fed. And we both do the advent calendar - she has an advent gallery, I just like it, it's fun! But that's the main reason I wrote it, don't want to get us iced for "multi-ing". Maybe there should be some sort of form or something so that shared computer accounts could be flagged the way they now flag accounts that have the lab ray.

But sharing accounts? That'll get you iced if they find out about it. I know someone who just got frozen for that, made the mistake of saying on a board that they had let their significant other log into their account to take care of their pets, etc. while they were away.

Linking acounts-one of the best ideas out their, not only does it delinanant for TNT which is the main acount, and which are side acounts, but it keeps the user from accidentaly or on purpose cheating. I think it would be cool if you could feed/play with all the pets in all the acounts though, that would certinaly make things easier. Their would obviously have to be confermation at both ends, like a neofriend request, to link acounts, and a few other features to insure its not two seperate useres joining acounts.

I love that linking accounts thing. I think if you try to link an account with yours it should send another mail to your other account where you can accept that link. That way people can only link to accounts they own. Because otherwise people might try to link to anyone else.

But I like this idea because you can say "This is my main" and the others would be side accounts and you COULDN'T play games on them even if you tried, it wouldn't let you. And there are some things you are allowed to do, and it would let you do those things. Because I think you can play dicearoo or some other game on all your accounts.

Those are really great ideas! We should probably be suggesting these to TNT.

I think linking accounts is a great idea, I go on a couple web sites that allow that, and it really is a major help. I also like the idea of flagging computers that have multiple users with different accounts, since a lot of siblings use the site. (I haven't been able to restock since my brother decided to, since we use the same comp. )


I know it's been mentioned, but I would be totally against letting top restockers go on a shopping spree while everyone else was banned. IMO, that would only encourage more ABing, Multi-ing, and the various other ways of cheating that currently exist. Not to mention, being really, really unfair to the rest of us.


I think the idea of hatching a pet would be good, but a person might join, not get the pet they want, and then abandon it. It might be better if it were an option after a certain amount of time, rather than an automatic thing.

On the topic of neoboards, I really don't think they should be deleted. I am, I would say, a fairly mature person. I don't use chatspeak, I don't scam or spam, and I do not discuss dating and various 'banned' things on the boards. And yet, I like the neoboards. I enjoy going on there from time to time. If we didn't have the neoboards, where could people find suitible pets to challenge in the BD? How could I search for expensive items that people may be selling, but don't want to put on the TP? Without the Quest board, most people would either have to hope they found the item, reject the quest, or go into one of the 'mega-malls' and severly overpay on the item they need. And, most importantly, where could we get feedback for spotlight things? If I didn't have the neoboards, I couldn't have gotten feedback on my neoadventure, and others couldn't get important tips on how to improve their gallery. I know you say people can come on here, but if you check some of those respective boards, not a whole lot of people actually go there, and sometimes you need a wide range of opinions for best results.


Now, as to what I would like to see:

Paintbrushes
I'd like to see a 'Superhero' Paint Brush, one that made your neopet look like one of the Defenders of Neopia.

I'd also like a 'Retro' PB, that made any newly styled pets look like their old versions. (If there was more than one update, you would get to choose the one you wanted.)

A 'Dress-up' Petpet PB would be nice, basically it would make the petpets look like they were dressing up like a real Neopet.

*Edit* Also, I think it would be cute if, when you painted your petpet, any petpetpet attached to it would also be painted in that color.

Items and Games
I would love to see games that gave out items again. And GOOD items. Games that give items are always more fun than just regular games, and it would help to keep inflation down. I would like the Treasure Hunt game brought back, and changed to include all types of maps, and not just the space map that it originally gave.

I'd also like a maze-type game (yes, I know that's kind of what that temple in Geratpiku is) that allowed you to earn various items based upon the choices you made.

Plots
Last, but not least, we need better plots and wars. The last, really good plot was the Lost Desert Plot, and after that it was all downhill. We got plots that started out good, but because neo either didn't think them through, or they delayed them for merchandising, we got endings that were hastily thrown together. And the battle systems have been severely flawed in recent wars, which really needs to be changed. We put a lot of effort into this site that we love, and I think it would only be fair to have plots and wars that were completely planned out BEFORE they were started, battle systems that allowed everyone to get as many points as they could, and prizes that were good at every level.

That's just my 3.8 cents. (Adjusted for inflation. )
