Forget the symbols. its just the 5 colors like Ecto said, I didnt know that either and before that was trying the same color different symbol etc.. so would have been in there for days.. UGHH>....... there are 5 different traps and 5 colors, so each time you try, try a different color, you have a 1 out of 5 chance of getting a spike,,, and the most it should take is 5 tries.. ie 5 hours..

Aren't there 6 colors? Black, Silver, Red, Green, Yellow, Blue?

I mean, not that it matters, but still.

sorry for my ignorence but where exactly do i go to put my crystal? the summery in the beginning says something about a city in the basement but i didnt find anything.

I just checked my SDB and the crystal isnt't there.

your first crystal will be gone once you found your 2nd crystal. my first crystal was in my inventory all the time

No, I mean I put the second crystal in my SDB and it's now not in there.
I went back to the spike room and nothing so I've gone back to the chef and got another 1st crystal. So now I've got to wait an hour before going back to the spike trap for another second crystal.

Go back to the trap room right away after the chef gives your the replacemet. Don't leave the scroll repositroy. Just go right to 1,ooo tombs. if you are still in the spike trap, you can click on the skull eye and get it.

I'm good at this, I've lost mine accidently twice now. yea, I got 3 useless crystals from the same trap without waiting for it to cycle.

I waited HOURS for my light to be back on, traversed the temple to the secret room, only to find my useless crystal MISSING. I had put it in my gallery for safe-keeping and haven't had an RE at all. It's not in gallery, SDB or inventory.

*Heads back to the stupid Chef / Foreman - grumbling about the 4th floor*

Is this your first or second crystal?

Darn, 4th try and still no spike trap... And the mini-sakhmet is lit at the moment, so well, I'd better head to bed and try again tomorrow... Good night everyone!

Well apparently there is some type of rhyme or reason to the type and/or color and/or shape of the door to get the spike trap. I entered into agreen house shaped saf..which was a spike trap, but no new crystal for me. Ill just keep on trying trap doors until I find another spike trap and hope for the best. Thanks for all the suggestions. I cant believe I am the only one who found a spike trap that doesnt work...any others out there, please let me know!!!

Ashbashed... what was the last thing you did in the respository? Im wondering if like someone suggested that the last thing you had to do is get that "Sharpeye" message...... and if you read other scrolls after that, it may just effect you being able to get the 2nd crystal....

Oh I was wondering around reading scrolls in the temple, thats for sure. Im sure others must have been too...there was hours in between the "sharp eye" clue and finding this out...I cant imagine everyone stopped reading scrolls....did they?

Hey I did....LOL Id had enough of scrolls LOL so that sharpeye message was the very last scroll I read.. This could well be like the library scroll , that also had to be the last thing we had to do before moving on.... Lets hope this isnt the same.... but if you arent getting your crystal when clicking on the skull it could well be the reason.. I guess the next step would be to try going back to that last scroll that gave the sharpeye message and see if that will help..... UGHH.. lets hope it doesnt involve reading all 12 again to get the sharp eye message again before getting spiked and getting the crystal.....

This is only conjecture, but yes the last scroll I read was defintately the one that gave me the Sharpeye Message, and I got my crystal without any problem, just clicked on the skull and there it was.... It was a Yellow Triangle reeds door .

I would rather have not found a spike trap then to have found one that doesnt work!!!

A big problem that I have. When I get a trap from the temple, I do not see the image. All I see are the words. I have tried both firefox and ie 6, and neither browser is giving me the image. How then do I click on the skull?

This question is mainly directed to Mr. Insane or another TNT mod.

(since I have heard that you arent supposed to type in that link after getting the spike trap to get the crystal)

go up to the 5th floor and walk to the very end you will suddenly find yourself in another room. then continue walking all the way till you find the mini city

Yes you are right, Im just going on what ecto posted before.. he/she probably told me 5 coz Id already been in black.. which would make sense... so yes, try a different color each time...

I got my second crystal and tried to move it to my safety deposit box. Now it's GONE! Not in my shop, not in safety deposit or anything. I even checked my gallery.

I went back to the 1000 temple and got spikes but there is no longer a crystal there to get.

Sounds like a glitch to me. So, when you get the crystal DON'T move it. I really don't know what to do now. I'm stuck.
