Which pretty much proves Nabile marrying Jazan would not have the curse lifted. Unless Nabile turns out to be the first royal princess, but that is highly improbable and I think I'd remember being a princess at one time in my life.

Nabile's name means "nobility" in a language I can't remember... it was discussed on NC. I thought it was agreed earlier that it's fairly obvious Nabile is going to emerge as another Sahkmet Royal?

Ditto that, Trick. The card plainly states "the first Princess." Who knows which that is? There is a mediocre explanation in the editorials for the different princesses we already know about, so I say it's highly likely that Nabile is a princess and doesn't know it.
The only kink in that chain is this card:

(Image of the Qasalan Tablets TCG)

Which states that the Prince is 1K years old. How old does that make he "first Princess", given that the betrothal was written prior to the curse and most likely when Jazan was still young?

Edit: typos and removing image to save space

Nabile says that when the curse is lifted that Qasalan won't be the only thing that will live again - could it be the First Princess could be 'roused, too, and that neither Nabile nor Amira will end up marrying Jazan?

I propose we give some thought (and a TCG search) to what else will live again". I kind of like Nightsteed for it, but Nabile seems to think it's the entire city of Qasala - I guess that would include Nightsteed as well. Thoughts?

The zombies are undead like Nightsteed. Jazan could, conceivably, be undead too since he has been alive for so long. On that idea, why didn't Jazan make his play sooner? He could have had any princess of the past 1000yrs. Was Amira the hottest of all of them, and is Jazan just shallow? I wonder if we will ever know.

Funny that you posted this just as I was typing a similar one. :P I agree, but the Forgotten Promise card says the first Princess - I would take that to mean the eldest.
Issue: 207 | 9th day of Gathering, Y7 Editorial:
Wait a second. In the comic Princess Amira is ruling the lost desert. I thought that princess Vyssa was ruling the lost desert. I am confused - Conormdr203
We decided to change it as we didn't want another Usul being the main character. As its turns out Princess Amira was touring the desert when her father was murdered, Princess Vyssa was ruling in her absence, but handed the reins back over to her elder sister once she returned.

So just how old is Amira? Or how old is the promise?

With the 'how old is everyone' topic, maybe we're dealing with immortals. Since Neopets can't, in theory, die, Jazan, Amira, and the gang could be immortal.

Edit: With the 'who's on first' idea, that could just be a plot hole that hasn't really become an issue yet. It could be safe to assume that the TNT will assume that we assume that Amira is first after she assumed the throne from her sister.

Off in my own little world, Nabile would discover that she is indeed a princess. The first princess of Sakhmet in fact. She would be cursed with unnatural longevity like Jazan, and once she awakens to her true self, marry him and go on a bloody rampage, destroying everything in her path and turning the Lost Desert into a hellish ruined kingdom. The end.

Hmmm... could be.. but then why make such a point of telling us that the Prince is 1K years old on the Tablets TCG?

Well, I don't see how that could be - Jazan must marry the first princess in order to lift the curse. How can he do that if she won't be "roused" until the curse is lifted?

oh wow... i've been reading for such a long time but i've never gone on here, i think that you have a point about the neopets being immortal... i haven't come up with any of my own theories yet, although i thought i might just add a little agreement xP

well of course our little pets can't die, that would just be cruel. but i think in all the stories and stuff, the pets behave just like humans so they die too. doesn't the brain tree always want to know when someone died? and having an ancient city wouldn't be a big deal if everyone lived forever.

Welcome to the madness! :)

Sky, I completely agree with your "who's on first" edit. :)

The TCG could have been released with no thought to the plot. I think we should assume what TNT gives us (no matter how many holes) is better than what we (especially me) can assume.

That was my 5th (out of 100) ending.

Hah! I only skimmed the plot until now and never read that, wish I would have now.

On the other question of what exactly will "live again" when the curse is lifted, I think I am going to agree with Nabile and guess that it's the city of Qasala. This TCG seems to imply that the "spirits" will be happy to have the curse lifted:

Sky, I think TNT plans the plot story lines when they design the TCG cards. Many of the images from the TCG cards actually appear in the comics. For instance, this chapter has the Royal Wedding Ring TCG image.

I think the spirits would be with the zombie argument. I also agree with the planning the TCG around the plot. That is what I had always thought. One the card, the spirits dancing could be after the wedding at the reception. It does sort of imply a happy ending to everything.

Edit: Shouldn't we have had a split by now?

I was just thinking that the mods have forgotten us. I'm sure we'll be interrupted soon enough though. :P

The Royal Wedding Ring TCG is also the one that says:
"In 3 days and 21 hours... you'll be mine."

Out of curiosity, does anyone know what time the comic was released? I'm sure this most likely refers to the amount of time between the Princess accepting the ring (acceptance seems to be a necessity) and the curse being lifted. But still, it seems odd.

Right. Cut us off once we get going. :x

The card time may be relative to comic time. We could get an update Monday (approximately 4 days) or this time next week (as it seems when comics come out).
