it's really not a pain at all if you don't accidentally close the window and you have a cable connection or something. i used to spin it right before i went to bed or to class. hardly a hassle to click one button.
Actually, the dial-upness does not change the amt. of time it spins. and as long as you don't have Download Accelerator or Get Right or any other download manager integrated, it should take only 30 sec longer to initially load than T1/cable broadband people.
