I don't think it's a glitch or anything. The system does that sometimes with items and Neopoints (a few times when I had no items in my inventory, I had found a random item by morning.)

I'm starting to think it isn't a glitch either. If I may share my funny story: one day, many moons ago, I log in and a couple thousand ¥ had appeared in my coffers. Thinking it was some hacker or someone that took over my account, I panicked. I eventually ended up on the News page. It turned out that the PPL for this week was for one of my pet's petpets. Flushed red with embarassament, I calmly put the money in the bank. I know that is not like what is happening for everyone else, but it is a funny story along these lines.

I depositied all but 10 NP (so I wouldn't accure the 300 NP or so charity overnight). Yesterday I picked up the Advent Calendar prize of 300 NP, which left me with 310 NP. Today, I have 1610 NP - a mysterious gain of 1300 NP. From nowhere!

The oddest thing that happened to me was that I had deposited 12K-ish...into the bank and had nothing on hand...and then minutes later...I have 15K [after playing a game]

After reading this board I tested it last night and yes, I recieved 100np. Not bad after all. Maybe it's neo's secret way for saying Happy Holidays
