For anyone who wonders what we're going on about:
I did the same thing (moving the MP around on it in PSP). The MP just looks so much like a heart!

Trouble with that one is that the hearts are darker than the background where as I see the "heart" (if it is one) in the MP as being lighter than the background, hmmm.

Finished scanning through game icons. I didn't see anything too close ... although a couple made me blink, at least.

It seems like it's from a larger picture... it seems too big to be a shopkeeper, trading card or game button. I was hoping it'd be something easy like a shop blog. I was just about to go to bed when it was released!

bed? me too! It's just not matching up to the earlier pet's shading. I thought it had to be an older drawing of a pet. hm. Closest thing I have found is the early petpet, miamouse?

There certainly are alot of Caption Contests with pink and red in them ... scanned through #'s 300-400 ... didn't see a match.
