Not necessarily true Qanda. If you had to stop playing Neopets for one reason or another (I had to stop because of my security settings) but wanted to see your pet go to a good home.

I for one absolutely /love/ that idea. I think that we should be able to do that. But also, I think that I am perfectly fine with the way we do it now, as long as you have an extremely quick computer. Possibly two computers or two browsers to self transfer - You should be good. I've transfered my 3 Draiks recently and have had no problem whatsoever. As long as you use the auto-adopt link, and have a quick connection - You should be able to transfer without any problem whatsoever.

But also I think that it is sort of your own risk if you opt to transfer. I think that you should be able to transfer without many problems. If you have the case of a slower connection, get a friend to help :) The main issue though is that TNT is iffy on transfering if your not buying/selling pets. So I don't think that we'll see this coming any time soon.

You play Neopets for fun. Once you stop playing, it makes no difference whatever happens to your precious bunch of pixels.

Though of course if you really derive satisfaction from seeing your pet go to good home (though I frankly don't see the point), you could try transferring it. Transfers work most of the time if they are well-executed and even if they fail, it doesn't really matter also. Incuding the option to reserve pets gives too much leeway for people to cheat.

Actually, that is a great idea, if they allow you to put a username in for XX hours, they can come and pick it up, no fuss! No one could scam anybody, because they chose a spesific username to pick up. If they do this, maybe I can transfer my Ghost Kougra and my other high-leveled pets!

So TNT (OMG, I almost wrote TMNT which is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!) if you are reading this (which you probable are), please take this idea into mind, it'll be great. No more pound-snatchers.

Some people, especially young children, get attached to their "precious bunch of pixels". And transfer to who?

Please don't patronise me.

Back on topic, I think it's a good idea to choose who you want your pet to go to really. Saves a lot of hassle and tears if it goes wrong.

But you haven't addressed the issue of people gaining unfair advantages (normally associated with training) by transferring pets . I'm sure if such an option was put in place people will abuse it to transfer their pets to and fro betwen multiple accounts repeatedly rather than really use it to give their pets to new owners. The disadvantages outweigh the advantages.

And cool down, I was just stating my opinion, sorry for offending you. :)

I guess TNT are more concern with the ease of selling neopets for cold, hard cash ...

What about putting into effect a system where a pet can only be transferred between accounts once a day, for instance, and transferring it from one account to another and then back again to the first account would be forbidden? That would make it harder on the cheaters.
