Ziggy, I do get where you are coming from--people who join PPT just to post about being frozen irk me too. I get miffed when people come here with the sole purpose of attempting to get info, like email names, etc., or in the hopes that borovan will read their post and unfreeze their account. They don't ever post on any other thread and do nothing whatsoever to be a member of this communtiy

And, I hope you didn't think I was angry when I wrote. At one point in time, I felt like you--that people had to be frozen for a reason. At that time, I looked suspiciously at people who had been frozen and figured that they had to have done something to deserve the freezing. That all changed in June 2003 when my husband was frozen for playing Grundo's Snowthrow, after sending a really lousy score. He was frozen for allegedly "cheating at flash games"--and the poor guy didn't even know what a flash game was. I was in the same room with him when it happened and saw just how devastated he was. He's in his 40's, the Chief Officer of Operations of his company and a lawyer, and yet, right then, he was like a little kid. And, that look on his face right then changed my whole perspective on Neo's freezings.

I guess what I am saying is that you really don't know how unfair it is until it happens to you or someone you know really well.

And, I agree with you that, many times, people are frozen for a legitimately good reason. But, there are a lot who are frozen because of an error made on Neo's part. Perhaps, Neo could figure out a way to make less errors and actually double check to make sure the freezing is justified. And give us a complete detailed set of rules so we know which words not to say, which situation not to get into, etc.

I was frozen for doing nothing wrong, and I didnt come here just to post about being frozen. I suggest if you're groggy.. dont come here.

I start over as soon as I was frozen, but its still not the same. And you're right, TNT is very harsh with their freezing policy.

I wish they would do something about that policy and get better support staff. Ones who care about their job. Im not saying all of them dont care, there are that do, but others could probably care less. They just sit in their chair laughing at us.

Unless you have been there and been frozen unfairly or know someone who has been frozen unfairly, you just don't know how it feels. It is absolutely horrible to be accused of something when you know, deep down in your heart, that you did nothing wrong. And have to face your friends after being frozen and wonder if they aren't wondering if you did something to deserve it.

I totally agree with that, and thats how I feel.

Nothing is perfect and TNT's freezing policy certainly isn't. It's far from it. For the boards, they should look at the context surrounding the "illegal" words before they hit the freeze button, but from morningstar's experience, we know they don't. That's alot of controversies surrounding words used.

I'd been frozen before too and it's most certainly an experience that i don't want to go through again. Mind you, i was frozen by no faults of my doings. Just happen that they were "freezing" happy that day with the bots. :x

Yeah..The english language is constantly changing and altering. Especialy in the past 20 years. Some words that seem innocent have horrible meanings and others that might sound 'bad' are not....so it is really bad that they will hit the deep freeze for saying something that references a questionable word in a good way..or a lyric to a song, etc.

*nods* I know how you feel.. My old account got frozen for something i did not do, and i miss that account because it had a great xmas gallery, and 3 wonderful pets plus over 400 items in my SDB... =/ *sigh* oh well. But i hope you get yours back soon.. :)

It's been about two years since I got frozen. I lost a lot of stuff. Around 6 mill or so. But I would suggest you to start over. I know its hard but.... :D

It is hard to do--and I really feel for you, Dustin, and anyone else who has been frozen. I don't know if I could do it--if it happened to me. However, I have learned a bit from others. I have my nps and items spread among a few different accounts--so if one is frozen, perhaps the others will be spared. My daughter, who likes to chat, has created a "throwaway" account just for chatting. That way if she is frozen for sneezing too loudly on the chats, she won't lose her main account. My husband and I both do nothing with our gallery accounts--both of which have multi-millions in items on them. We move items and nps to them ever so sparingly--not a lot at a time. Nothing to cause attention to them. Because we could survive if the main accounts were frozen--but the galleries? That would be the nail in the coffin (I have one of the biggest plushie galleries and he has, undoubtedly, the biggest lupe/chia gallery out there--I hope that doesn't seem like bragging--I just remember the biggest plushie gallery being frozen in April after the password hacking problem and I get really sad when I think about her losing everything she put into Neopets for years and years and the same with alombar, who had the biggest shop in Neopia--frozen because he got too powerful--didn't do anything wrong, just got too successful for Neopian standards).

I agree. I feel sorry for all the frozen people out there too, and I would have left Neo as soon as I was frozen if it wasnt for my great friends, and my website im running. The fans wanted me to keep it going & helped me stay alive. And when I came here it made me feel better, knowing im not the only one going through this. (: Thanks for all the help. Im still waiting on a reply from TNT. ;)

I wish you luck Dustin. I was iced a few weeks back. And the only logical reason i can come up with is I was neomailing someone about Hoochie Coochie Tablets. I think the first word might be on there filters list but who knows seeing as i havent heard from them yet.

I think PPT is here for people to talk about Neopets. That means the good things, and the bad. Freezing people is one of the bad things that people don't want to face (who have never been unjustly frozen) and the topic does come up in general chat a lot. My thread about it seemed to last forever, until a MOD thought it was too depressing and locked it.

I think that if the majority of people think these kind of mesages clog up the general chat, then request a sticky for it in some forgotten corner where it wont bother anyone besides those who care to go and be supportive.

But I am just ALL for stickies. I really wish Screenies had a sticky so Idon't have to go all over to find it.

First of all...hey peeps. I WAS just a lurker until I realized I too much of an urge to contribute to the discussions here. Anyway...

Sticky a frozen topic so that everyone who gets iced has to post there? Um, no, not a good idea. First of all, what is wrong with these people that feel the boards are getting too "clogged up" with iced topics anyway? Whatever happened to not clicking on the topic?

Second, considering how many people have made frozen topics lately, that sticky would get filled up with so many posts that no one would get and help or support at all.

I say the people that want this to happen, as you mentioned, need to accept the bad as well as the good when it comes to Neopets. Neopets, like everything else in life, is no bed of roses.

Geez, Neopian Faerie, why did you wait so long to post your first post? What you said was right on the mark!

PPT has always had posts from frozen people. It is supposed to be a safe haven here. At least, that is what I thought when I joined PPT way back when.

I think some people forget just how many frozen posts PPT had this time last year (or they weren't around to see it)--and January of this year beat the record, I think. It got so depressing to see just about everyone I admired here on PPT frozen for bogus reasons. Hampie, Breloom, Tonu, Mermaid Hil, my daughter Baby Poogle Eater, Skullsplitter--I know that they were many, many more--but I have gone brain dead on the names at the moment.
