Something has happened!
A slimy scamander slithers over this page and hisses at you!
Yay for new(?) random events!
Edit: *sets it as his avatar* It is new, isn't it? I don't want some boring old normal random event image as my avatar
Edit 2: web-sniffer.net says that the image, at least, was last modified Jan 27, 2005. So either it was put up then, or they changed it then. Or they put it up then and haven't used it until now. Or they're lying, and it's brand new. Which I wouldn't put past them.
Edit 4 (I go by powers of 2): Google says it's been out for a while. 
Oh, well. Kinda cool that I got it now, though, since I'm not sure I'd ever seen it before.

I don't know how new that is, but I know I've gotten it before. I think that was added around the start of the plot. It is related to the scamander TCG card's flavor text. I think both are great so good randomness!

Right, ok everyone, I went back to the dreaded repository and I noticed something odd.

This was the pic for when we were doing the moving.

This is what it is now. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE!? Ok, so maybe it's a little lighter and a little shinier, but why change it?! It's basically the same pic!

I added the number 4 and this is what I got. How odd. I bet this is how it's going to look once all the building stuff is over.
This all probably means nothing, but I thought it was worth noting.

Actually, no, it's not a bit lighter and shinier. It's not any different at all. And by this I mean that the files are identical. Bit for bit exactly the same. They put up two identical files under two different file names.

Ah, ok, my eyes must be playing tricks at this time of night. Either that or I shouldn't be comparing pics on a laptop screen when one is higher than the other. Heh.

My flatscreen made them look different too
I had to scroll up and down about 8 times to realize they were the same. I wouldnt have noticed if dolphinling hadnt said it.

On the other hand, what's up with TNT doing that? Seems kind of strange. And why's there no sr1_ext.gif? Also, I'm assuming ext stands for exterior, so why are there no int images? Questions abound.

Yes, I believe so too. I believe I said something like that a couple splits ago and we had a pretty long discussion about it. I forgot which split though. But now I want to bring up megan again, the card is on page 7, does anyone else think she looks like the fortune teller?

I don't really think she looks too much like the fortune teller. Their skin/fur color is different. Their hair style, while similar, has different texture. The only real similarity is the love of gaudy jewelry. The type of dress is similar too. Yeah, sure, I'm nitpicking, but I do want to know what Megan is used for as well. If she is fortune teller related, I hope she replaces the current one. Aishas are way better than Kaus.

OK, i've been doing some thinking-
the fortune teller talks about the trading post and the tablet
thus far i havent seen more than 9-10 different symbols on each tablet
now if each symbol would represent another number, and the whole number would represent a lot number maybe we get something special? a clue? or something?
I've just reread this and it sounds crazy. lol. still, tell me what you think about it

Ha! I just thought about something funny. What if someone got that random event while trying to catch scamanders the other day right when the scamander escaped the person's grasp.

That's a good idea! But in that case there ought to be a reference somewhere, something to tell us what the numbers are. Hmmmm....
