hi.. Been doing a lot of reading and no helping.. but now i've finally caught up :)

anyways..i have a theory..might sound stupid but oh well

It starts in the desert but not in the plain,
Does this means the 1,000 tombs? it's in the lost desert but not in plain view ( can't click it on the map ) or maybe it's the ruined city
But then? Not in sunshine, but found in the rain.
I remember that the 1,00 tombs had 2 different background..maybe when TNT said rain they were referring to when it's dark..
After that, just ask Coltzan, Amira knows not.
And then we should go to coltzan's shrine and do something o_O
And end in the pyramid; not a temple or hut.
My guess is that pyramid means one of the pyramids in lost desert or the scrolls repository
Put them together, your next task's in hand.
And perhaps a great city will return to this land.

Maybe you'll get something from the pyramid that requires you to put them together?

I'm not sure if anyone has came up with this yet... but i think the conundrum has something to do with the plot

Enter what? Can you be more specific? And I know it's alot, but the first post on the thread really does cover all the basics to get you up to date.

You are way overthinking. It's a simple riddle.

You know what it means? :o

Yes. It's a riddle looking for one specific word. It's not significant to the plot. The next thing to happen will involve the repository once all the sand is moved.

Fri Sep 23, 2005 8:47 am

Yes. The LC is a simple riddle. It refers to the plot, but you don't need to solve it to move on. It won't give you any advantage. I wish people would stop talking about it... there's a rule on PPT that we only give hints for the LC (in the LC thread on the Help board) and don't post answers here.

So have we decided that agility really does play a part in the sand carrying? I've been using a pet with only 18 agility; maybe I should switch to my pet with 57. I've managed to get three handfuls of sand so far, and a grackle bug on a stick.

Ok, I'm reall sorry if this has been asked before, but everything's moving so fast all of a sudden, I can't keep up! Does anyone here know how to get that monster in Defenders of Neopia? I'm still dealing with Meuka now... Don't tell me I have to do ALL of them before I can get to that monster!
Oh, and sorry about the riddle thing, I forget about the LC thread. My stupid mistake.

You can get the Qasalan Mummy by refreshing at the Lost Desert Plot comic.

I think the question was:

Is it still possible to get the Qasalan Mummy if you haven't finished all the DoN challengers before it? For instance, I am still stuck on the Snowbeast ... he refuses to show up for me.

I have refreshed quite a few times at the comic ... but haven't gotten the Qasalan Mummy ... do I need to get the snowbeast first?

I'm still on the meerca henchmen. They kill me with the first hit. I did get the Mummy as an opponent though so you should be able to get it too.

So how do I get the new parchment avatar? All this stuff is making my head spin. I can't even find most of my posts on here. Grrr.

Amber

BTW, this is kinda off the subject but does anyone know how to beat the meerca henchmen? My pet has pretty good stats but like I said, they kill me with their first hit. What's up with that?

I got him and I am only up to Mission 7. I don't think it matters what order you get the challengers in, as they are all battledome challengers not just DoN.

The first post in this thread will answer many of your questions.

You are posting your questions about the plot in the correct place, now ...

If you make a new topic ... the mods most likely have deleted the post and/or locked the topic.

As for the parchment avatar ... No one can actually get the parchment avatar yet ... it was only found by someone guessing URLs.

And thanks for the info (both Daze and SivaEarl) ... I will try to get the challenger.

Getting it as an opponent is apparently from refreshing on chapter 6 of the plot.

To fight it as part of DoN (i.e., for whatever trophy goes with it) you have to reach it in order, but once you have it as an opponent you can fight it just as any other one-player battledome opponent.

More on topic:

Here's my theory for why the translation we've told the Fire Faerie "statue" so far has some (ahem) bugs in it.

It isn't the right translation, because:

1) The right one will probably reverse Jazan's spell & bring the city back, or otherwise solve problems for the good guys.

2) More importantly, TNT (which, despite forgetting until reminded that not everyone could access Poogle Racing these days, has obviously put a lot of good planning into this puzzle) carefully made it accessible to all by using only non-flash games to gain the parchments to lead us to the fragments to fill our tablets. Though TNT has, as we know, pulled some silly blunders before, in this case, with the intelligent care we have seen, it seems unlikely they would then require paging through the flash plot to get the real translation. The scarabs were, I suspect, just something fun for us; the avatar, a bonus -- but neither vital for solving the puzzle.

This is, of course, based on the belief that there isn't going to be a long dearth of clues, followed by an announcement that the puzzle is being abandoned so TNT can concentrate on other things.

Thanks, I think I'm about to get the hang of this board thing. I've been reading it, just never posted before. I appreciate all ya'll's help.

I think we should modify the first post to include that in order to get the "understood" message, you need to visit the statue immediately before reading the scroll that matches the statue's symbol. If you visit the statue, then a trap or read another scroll, then read the scroll with the statue's symbol, you do not get the "understood" message. They must be done in succession: first statue then scroll with statue's symbol.

Has anyone noticed whether or not receiving this message has any effect on entering the repository?

Rephrased: Has anyone gotten into the repository without getting the "understood" message?
