Dumb question: when the time comes for me to read the scroll that matches my statue... when you get to the library, can you back out without reading a scoll, or do you have to read one (and get a 12-hour lockout) no matter what?
I haven't been in any of my libraries yet, so I don't know which one the matching scroll is in...

You have to do something, just like any other part of the tomb to get out. So yeah, you'll have to read a scroll once you get in. There's also no way to just leave the temple from where you started and I'm not sure how that got spread around.

On mine there is. When I wander around, then go back to the room that I first started in, there's a "leave tomb" button (or something to that. I can't check now, gotta go to work.

That's definately true of mine as well... that's how I knew where the entrance was. (I was lost in the temple from random clicking when I started mappint).
