I had to use three rocks to get the proper ceiling position.

anyone else notice that when the janitor complains that you broke the gears, that the amound each gear opens the roof changes? its like it re-sets it

Aargh! I had the gears charted - which ones go most to the right - but then right at the end my gears broke. When I went to put in all three rocks, it didn't work. Apparently when the Janitor fixed the gears, they changed what they open. Just to let people know. Now I have to do it all over again.
Edit: Freddyflintstone and I posted at the same time, same info. Sorry.

Gar I am wondering if I should go ahead with making a Wizard for the combinations anyway or just try with my two rocks, I have no idea if three are even necessary. Any winners care to post stats? Two rocks or three?

Me too. All gears on the right side, if anyone's interested.

I can't find my constellation! Even worse, neither can the constellation finders... anybody have any hints/tips?

Yeah starmappers aren't working ... use the one link that maps your entire star map and manually look... if you paid attention to where it was in the past... its around there

How do you get the second stone?

*Feels SO DUMB.*
Did y'all notice down at da Quarry is a button "So give me another rock."?

Did you take the two rocks you have out of the gears when you went to juggle for the JubJubs? And then click on them? Then you have to click on "Well, give me a third rock" or whatever the button says and you should get it.
And once you get the clue, you'll have the fun of actually finding it, which I absolutely cannot...

I'm in the same boat... I don't think the finders work. I've scanned through by eye twice; we just need to keep searching; we'll get it eventually.

Darkfire's Star Mapper = exceeeedinly useful. Found it in three seconds ater opening the page. It helps to see the whole sky

I went to one starmapper that had the
template for the Hunter constellation (sorry, but I can't remember the site's name; it was one of the first ones, though), and used the template to manually find the Hunter. None of the other automatic constellation finders could find it for me, either.
Edit: It was Darkfire's Star Mapper.

From what I've gathered, thanks to Toropiusu's nice cap, your gears need to jam open a total of 15 spaces on the right side. It's sort of hard to explain, but I did as Toropisu explained and looked at each gear individually to see which created the widest gap toward the right.
After I got through six individual gears the seventh time (I'm about 100% sure the correct combination resets each time you break the gears), I added up 15 "spaces." Gear one had 5, gear two had 6 and gear six had 4.
Hope this hasn't already been explained. This post is growing supah fasht!
