My hissi highest stat is 59, on HP, don't have the level to do berserk attack but so far I've won Sceptre three times and a draw. On my second win I won by a single hit. After seeing that stealing weapons don't work, I took out my fire snow bottle, now he barely can't touch me when I use it with the scarab ring...

How strong exactly are you?

What weapons were effective?

If you want tips on defeating him, your budget is quite important of course... But if you've got a freezing item and Downsize!, then you'll be able to beat him... Just use those two the first turn, in combination with defend, sink or burrow (or an attack if you've got enough hp's) and then finish him off with your strongest weapons while he's frozen... That's how I do it when I can't beat them in one turn anymore...

Sorchdrax isn't that hard overall if you have the right stats and equipment. I manged to freeze him the first round and that gave me the advantage. He used the jade scorchstone once and after that he was pwned.

I couldn't get him to freeze and he just kept healing. I guess I don't have enough hit points to hang with him

EDIT: Thanks for the tips...downsize with a freezing while defending helped. I beat him, but with only 1 HP left!! Close one... now he gets stronger, so I'm done!! LOL

I don't think I have what it takes to beat Scordrax yet and I do need some advices on weapons.

I've managed to beat the Spirit of the Ruins 3 times so far but it doesn't look as though I can beat him much more since my remaining Hp is getting lower and lower at the end.

My theory is that once so many of us will have beaten those characters, the plot will advance. But then again if it happens quickly many will miss an opportunity to participate.

Well, I don't have any experience with most of those weapons, but with Downsize to defend yourself (it's pretty great for it's price), you'll already get quite far. Also, the Leaf Shield and Hand Painted Scarab are quite good weapons, so definitely keep those close. If you want to invest some neopoints into battledome weapons, I'd go for the Scarab Ring (really cheap but as powerful as the Hand Painted Scarab) and/or Scarab Stone Slingshot.
If you need any more hints, feel free to ask, I know it's not completely plot-related though, so you can always PM me too.

Downsize is a weapon, but if you look for it on the shop wiz, make sure you're looking for "Downsize!" (with the exclamation mark).

I'm using an H4000 Helmet, but they're pretty expensive... I've got mine for like 3 years already, got it as a gift from my former guild leader back when they were still called Hypno Helmets and were only worth 800k or something

And you're right, it's pretty weird that there is no kind of announcement, just the small one in the battledome news that seems to be telling us that this is the "war", but I'd rather see them making it official with a comic and a recruitment center or something like that.

master_cat, for a pet with 170hp you should really beat Scordrax easily.

First turn I used Ramtors and h4000 and improved defend. that was 30hp, i think, and he didn't make solid dmg to my pet. in his frozen turn i used HP and ramtors on fierce attack, which was 70-80 dmg. then just finished him off with cloudy wand of storms and ramtors, using Burrow.

If i'd have sink and berzerk, that'd be much easier, but unfortunately i don't.

You are lucky, thats my biggest problem, in that shot after the frozen one, he heals every time,,,,, I just cannot beat him... if he didnt heal in that shot after the frozen Id have got him.... You are so lucky that he didnt heal..

Lucifer, how high is your pet's defence? It's the first time I hear about improved defence, although my defence is not that low, I've got 170... I suppose you get the improved one when you reach 200 or something?

And ss, that darn jade can really take the fun out of a battle huh... certainly when he keeps doing it time after time, it's getting pretty hard to beat him for me too now, cause after 35 times I can't finish it within the two first turns anymore, so I need to get lucky too and hope he doesn't use that jade...

And finally, the price of the H4000 Helmet? Well, I'm still going to tell you It's 5,3 million at the moment... But who knows, he has basically quit neopets (he's online like once every month) and I think he had one of himself, so if you ask him nicely...

My Gelert beat the Spirit of the Ruins (the Scordrax is totally out of her league), & then it occurred to me: What if victories over these guys don't count in our war point total if they are earned before the Battledome portion officially starts? If I keep fighting, will the Spirit advance in starting HP so much that my fighting pet can't beat it--and then the victories start counting? Eek! I quit until they tell us something, I think (leashes Gelert).

Yes, He uses that Jade on me everytime..

My 1st shot is H4K, Downsize!, Sink

2nd shot while hes frozen : HoneyPotion, Scarab Ring , Beserk

3rd shot : Dual Scarab rings , beserk,

Its at that 3rd shot that heals EVERY time... UGHH,

I can manage to stay alive for about 10 shots after that, but he heals 9 out of 10 times,

I thought I had him twice, when he got down to 2HP.. but then of course he healed.. and I died again.......

That's about exactly what I do The only big differences are the ability in the first shot (I use drain life to take some health away from him and add it to my own) and I use a Sword of Skardsen in stead of the downsize, so I already deal some damage in the first round too... Maybe you can give that a shot? If you manage to survive for 10 rounds, then maybe you can already take some hitpoints away in the first round and don't give him the chance to even think about healing himself
