I don't really like that caption contest, however. I don't like how NeoPETs are becoming like NeoPEOPLE.

Bori and Ixi lacks thumbs, Aisha lacks fingers and a thumb.
They don't seem that human to me. More cartoon animals. =/

I'd have to disagree there. Except for maybe that ugly kyrii, none of the Neopets pictured have the proper anatomical features to be doing what they're doing and there's not much more anthro they can get. It's little obvious things like that that annoy me when over half the pets on the site stand on two legs already. It's not like they really needed to use quads in the fist place.

The teasqito is cute though. There's never enough of them on the site and it's nice to have at leat one caption without a buzzer or meepit.

I'm tempted to write to the Editorial asking if there's some Anthro Morphing Potion going around. .o. ...though I love anthros, I just don't think having human-like PETS is right...

That's true, but I don't think the females need human like chests. A shirt thrown on, like the Bori, doesn't bother me (although it is awkward), but an Aisha dressing like a 17 year old does.

They gave neopets...um, how to say this...chests! But, if neopets are based on animals (lupe is wolf-like, aisha cat-like, kyrii weasel-like), then shouldn't they have six or eight...er...mammary glands?

Definnatly missed that one before, although in my opinion it isn't that big a deal as long as the pets body is fully covered.

Speaking of neopets becoming too human like, while I absolutely love anthros and such, I think it'd be kind of interesting if there were some sort of plot or a world added that basically dealt with the untamed wilds of neopia where lupes run in packs and unis roam the open plains and eyries built nests on high cliffs or something. It'd be some sort of Lion King-ish type story. It'd be great. Yeah.

Hehe. That'd be an interesting proposal to put forth in the Editorial. Even so, they would still be flat chested unless they were nursing which goes some place I'd rather not. I actually like anthro art in general, but it's changing existing characters that bothers me most. Especially on Neopets where they pretend that there's no difference between the two. I mean, how would Disney fans react if Minnie suddenly had breasts, or if pikachu would randomly shift between a mouse like creature and a teenage girl with funny ears and a tail?

Well, that could come in handy for Kauvara if shes mixing up chocolate milk or something, but it would definetely be hard for Kalora when those udders get in the way of her cheat! cards....

Agreed-I like the idea of anthro's myself, but neo to often missplaces them, or missueses them. Gets quite annoying if you asked me.

On the note that the certian things about the anatomy don't make sense for these anthro-"animals," I'm going to add that it IS pretend, on an interent site. Not based on ANY (major) form of relatity, I mean, have YOU ever seen a shoyru in real life? Yes, some of the pets are based off animals, but c'mon, they TALK, they have owners who often act like parents, they...okay, that last one was more like real life, but still.

Off-topic note: I belive Pikachu is a GUY. XD There was an episode that he went stary-eyed on the cearulen gym leaders doing some sort of water act-mistys sisters. Thats only one bigger peice of evidence I can think of off the top of my head, theirs other things...

I just used pokemone as an example. I know next to nothing about the series because I think it's awful. What I meant was that if they were'nt anthro, they wouldn't physically be able to do any of the things pictured. They're not real of course, but there's still a certain level of believability put into any fantasy creature to make it work. Cats and dogs, lupes and aishas, simply aren't built the same as people and they could have used any other number of pets that would be able to stand up, hold hot dogs, carry a bowl of orange, or be set on fire in a bad leisure suit.
