Hannah seems to be taking a little time off adventuring in the second part of our Hannah and the Ice Caves plot...



SITE UPDATE - We have installed mod-gzip on most of our servers (finally!) What this does is basically compress (zip) each HTML page after you request it, so less information has to be downloaded. This will shrink the size of each page on Neopets from roughly 18K to 8K.

SCIENCE!
So effectively this means that people on modem connections will be able to load pages about twice as fast! The diagram below will explain using the latest Internet lingo exactly how this is achieved, and what happens to a web page in the time between it leaves our servers and when it arrives on your computer screen.



The Checklist for our Hannah and the Ice Caves expansion is now available. Yes, you can see pictures of all the cards!!!

There is a new Mystery Pic competition. The answer to the last one was the Haunted House Header. 991 people guessed the correct answer earning themselves 2019 NP each.

The Hannah and the Ice Caves TCG set has gone on sale today. Head to your local trading card shop now!



This week's Neohome Spotlight has been given to Brandieblu, proud owner of 14015 Ugg Road, Tyrannia.

Brightvale Glaziers has some new windows featuring some of the main characters from the Hannah and the Ice Caves plot.



Today's Card of the Day is Taelia the Snow Faerie.

We have added a FAQ for the Hannah and the Ice Caves TCG set.

Bori can be painted Island and Fire at the Rainbow Pool.



The TCG Collection page has been updated to incude the Hannah and the Ice Caves expansion.

The Toy Shop has some plushies on sale that you may recognise from the Hannah and the Ice Caves TCG set.



There is a new Rollover with a Hannah and the Ice Caves theme.

A new round of the Beauty Contest is about to begin.

Hannah is the star of her very own Caption Contest image too. Let's hope all this fame doesn't go to her head.



We have a new Pet Spotlight award winner, well done Katina_246!

Last but not least, the new issue of the Neopian Times is now out!

the last frame of the first page of the plot reminds me of lord of the ings the first movie :P

still no hole update, oh well at least we can still think of inventive ways to use the hole ;)

*ahem*

I like the animation...but they should show how slow it is without mod_gzip. The "SCIENCE!" word is funny though...haha even though it's not really scinece..it's computer scienc--DARN!

which reminds me.... After taking on pirates in the pirate caves, why does she decide to go to a pub? I really dont like that :oops: Neopets couldnt think of a better place for a Neopian meeting than a pub? They have neopets drinking on it!! Ack! I bet that's not butterbeer....

and yes i think it does look like lotrs because also the angle, and the window are similar to the movie.

i ike the art n these comics, its very well done :)

well, who says its a pub? it can be a dinner or something. And I bet the neopets are drinking orange juice, but they like the beer jars. :roflol:
I don't like hannah on a table dancing, though, it gives her a banned word image. Nor the boasting.

These a seedy characters guys, you think they're just going to meet up at an ihop? I like the comics so far. The art is great and I like how the story (what little I've seen of it) is going. I really hope TNT has learned form past experiences and has everything planned out ahead of time.
