25th August - Mutant Day!
* You can now get your very own Dr Sloth pond, bat and ball game and hat to help celebrate Mutant Day. After all without Dr Sloth, there would be no mutants!
* Four new plushie sets have been added to the Official Neopets Ebay site for you to purchase.
* Cave_creator_ed has just won the latest Neoadventure Spotlight award with their adventure - The King of Confusion: A Logical Journey.
"The very day you begin to wonder of the outside world, you have a very vivid dream... In your dream, an old and worn map magically appears by your bedside and beckons you to follow it. Ready for whatever challenges lie ahead, you leave at once. The map leads you across creeks and valleys, through forests and hillsides, to a large and unusual palace with an even more unusual king."
* This week's PPL award has been given to the Mutant Cobrall. Well done Slithers, COBRAT, snaky, Fangs, Venom, Clarence and all the others.
* There are four new Buddy Icons with a Mutated theme.

They could've at least made the base match Sloth and/or put him in one of those fancy poses that you like always see in fountains. Not just...standing there.

I remember last year all my pets turned mutant on mutant day... but not this year. I'm sad!! I enjoyed seeing them that way!

I'm glad they didn't change. As soon as I saw it was Mutant day I said,"Oh no.." ran to my user lookup. :>
If you look at the bat and ball game close enough.. it looks wrong.. hint: look at the ball and follow the string up..

Yay, Mutant Day! They deserve love, too. I wouldn't mind having a mutant pet someday. There is something endearingly charming about them... :-)
