Edit: you equip a dark nova to one of your pets

To get it you have to equip one of your pets with a Dark Nova ...

apparently you can just equip anything with "Dark Nova" in it and you'll get the avatar.

Nice! I had two scrolls of dark nova already -- I won one of them from Mystery Pic yesterday and I already had the other. I wonder if they'll inflate.

ETA: They're 50K now.
