So do you guys go out and visit theatres to see plays, operas and musicals?

The last of each I went to see was: Midsummer Nights Dream, Puccini's Madama Butterfly from the Scottish Opera which was amaaaazing, and Bat Out of Hell (I think that's what it was called) in Stirling's Albert Hall... it would have probably helped if I liked Meatloaf. Meh.

I have performed in the pit orchestra of quite a few, so I know the music, but I have no idea what is going on above me. My most recent was Guys and Dolls and I would love to see it. I saw Phantom of the Opera last summer and Cats two summers ago.

I very rarely go out to see productions at theatres. My most recent was The Diary of Anne Frank, about a year ago. A year before that, I went to see A Midsummer Night's Dream. Wish I had time to go out for more, but there is a lack of theatres in my area and the performance times are not too convenient for my schedule.

Do school productions count? The Anne Shirley Theater Group that is funded by my university performed Company this year and I went with a bunch of my choir friends on March. Besides that...I saw the Phantom of the Opera with my Ranger group two years ago. I'd love to see live performances more often but at home it's a half hour drive to the train station, then a train ride, and a subway ride to get anywhere. From university it's an hour's drive to the train station. I have, however, been to a few concerts and caberets this year, also run by the school.

I've been to a few plays and musicals:

- Hairspray
- Little Shop of Horrors
- One I can't remember the name of but it was being billed as Seinfeld set to music (it was off Broadway)
- a handful of little plays that I also can't remember the name of. Two were in French (which I don't speak) and the other had something to do with hockey.
- A Christmas Carol
- Spamalot (LOVE!)

I don't have the right kind of schedule that allows for evenings out. Sad.

I was part of the Choir in the touring version of Joseph, and I was also a Sewer Kid in the West End Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
I love the Sound of Music, and Phantom of the Opera. Hairspray is okay as well.

Thank you, Secret Santa!
I wonder who that was...?
