Well, yes, that too, but the only teacher at my high school for that class is hard. The only students she's not hard with are the students that she likes. x_x

I can finally respond to this poll! I've been in limbo (between high school and college) for the past few weeks...but today I had summer orientation for college and I chatted to a faculty member to figure out my schedule. As of now, I'll be taking:

1. HUM 110 Introduction to Humanities-I
A study of literature, philosophy, and the fine arts in classical Greek and Roman civilization with special attention given to ethical and aesthetic values. Emphasis is placed on writing, analysis, and discussion. (required of all freshmen)
2. ANT 110 Introduction to Cultural Anthropology
An introduction to the perspectives and methods of cultural anthropology. Topics covered include the nature of culture; the relation of culture to language; the importance of the environment for human societies; and a cross-cultural examination of family structure, social organization, political and economic systems, religion, arts and folklore, and the impact of social and cultural change.
3. FRE 260 Joan of Arc
A course tracing the history and civilization of France from its medieval beginnings through the life and legend of Joan of Arc; primary sources from her trials and her portayal in literature, art, music and film; emphasis on French language skills including composition and debate. Prerequisite: FRE 220 or placement.
4. BIO 110 The Unity and Diversity of Life (four credit hours)
An introduction to biology through the integrating theme of evolution. The first half of the course develops the foundations of biological unity: cell structure and function, bioenergetics, and genetic control. The last half of the course begins with a survey of the major groups of organisms illustrating the diversity of life. After a brief introduction to formal principles of evolution responsible for the origin of this diversity, the course concludes with a grounding in ecological relationships which govern survival at all levels of biological organization. Laboratory work is required.
5. HHP 101 Personal Safety
A course designed to prepare students to cope with emergency or life-threatening situations. Topics include street crime, campus safety, acquaintance rape and abuse, fire, automobile and water safety, first aid, CPR, and disaster services. This course should be taken during the first term of enrollment at the College. (Marf. Another required course for all freshmen.)

And the old "Communist Electives". (We don't get to pick what electives we have! Stupid control freaks. With any luck at registration I can get something to replace Gym, taught by a semi- Umbridge.

I don't think Spanish 4 can be an AP class, at least not at my school. Here, Spanish 5 and AP Spanish are synonymous.

Pre-AP or AP Physics (Forgot which one)
If you haven't taken any physics yet, you won't be doing AP, you'll be doing pre-AP.

I'm taking:
AP Physics (with calculus)
AP English (World Lit for 2 trimesters and Experimental Short Fiction for 1)
AP Spanish (5)
AP BC Calculus
Civil War, Near East, and I forget the other history class (1 trimester each)
And of course chorus, which I'll accompany on the piano. (Yes, chorus is a class. Especially when you're the accompanist.)
