Play as a monk, its interesting as you don't use any typical melee weapons, at level five your attacks can be counted as magical, you get to be able to fall like 50 feet without taking damage due to slow fall, and there are many other benifits ^_^

I'll keep that in mind.

Hey Chris, I don't even think the "nerds" play it, because I've never seen it in any shops, or heard people talk about it. It's not very popular at all where I am.

Never tried it. It sounds fun though.

Is it realy complicated?

It is at the start. There are rules for doing almost anything :D
This is just a character sheet, its where you keep all your stats, inventory, and so forth. You are expected to remember them without the sheet though:

Most bookstores I've been in at least have the players handbook in the roleplaying section.

After my own forays into DMing, in which I planned so much and supplied so many backgrounds I decided to just make it a novel instead, my only experience with D&D is this kid on my bus being both DM and PC and first trying to have me involved, except I couldn't do much but kick the butt of a few bugbears, no direction change whatsoever. Then he gave up and started his own private powergame, occasionally looking up to tell me of his exploits ("I just killed six Nazgul with a single Storm of Vengeance!" was a real gem.)

Yeah, I'd love to have a proper D&D campaign.

My friend made me play it with him and some other people. We must have spent several hours just getting all the character sort of things set up, since he was the only one who had ever played. I guess it was fun once we actually started playing.

That was probably 8 months ago though. I haven't played since.

Too bad you can not work D&D through a forum...

Yeah, well, I just joined 1673, because I don't have a formal RP experience at all. Should help.

nope but i play warhammer (40k and fantasy) and lord of the rings which are kinda similar...well ok there not, but were all daemon worshipping satanists anyway. (i trust i dont need to explain thatn)

edit: oh and i got too the planning stages of an inquisitor warband, which is kinda like D&D (more interactive than D&D, you use models, and die instead of pen and paper, and you get the coolness of decent daemon weapons, mmmm rending and burning daemon mace)

I've publicly refused ever to play D&D. Haven't I, Chris? Evil man... jingling dice at me... refusing to tell me his age... I'll bet he's, like, 87 and walks down the street yelling at random people to pull his finger...
Those guys freak me out....

Umm... sorry... what was the subject again?

I have heard of the game because my brother plays it. Though I don't feel like trying it, its not my kind of game I like. I might try it one day though.
