Rounds will go between the daily HP and action updates from about 1700-1800 PST to 1659-1759 PST the next day. They last basically between I would have my turn, with time allotments for the time I need to get home after my last class. Round 2 starts in about .5 hr. Round 3 will be about 24 hr after that. This is the only crazy round since it was started early and with all the rule fine tuning, which I have reset back to how I originally planned. Watch the Announcements!

Round 2

Re-reformed Attack system: Only Hurts for -3 and Heals for +2. Also, it is required to chose a character for attacking and that character's victim, which is important since only attackers can use weapons, unless otherwise noted, and no other action can be done by the attacker. There are unlimited heals per character per round, but there will be a HP cap at 50 HP. Special moves will be handed out to a select few characters each round. If every character attacks in a round, the 'attack roster' is cleared and they may attack again. There are two ways to post actions. One is the preferred way that helps me keep track of actions better. The other is the quicky version that I originally planned on using, but dumped because it required more work from myself.

Preferred Attack format:[Character A] attacks [Character B] for -3 damage’ [Do not forget the underline, red, and bold.]
Example attack: ‘Ness attacks Link for -3 damage
Example weapon use: ‘Zelda uses a Warp Star to deal -3 damage to Mr Game & Watch and Mewtwo.’

Preferred Heal format:[Character] heals for +2 HP [Do not forget the green and bold.]
Example heal: ‘Kirby heals for +2 HP

Simple Attack format:[Character A] attacks [Character B] for-3 damage’ [Do not forget the bold.]
Example attack: ‘Ness attacks Link for-3 damage
Example weapon use: ‘Zelda uses a Warp Star to deal -3 damage to Mr Game & Watch and Mewtwo

Simple Heal format:[Character] heals for +2 HP [Do not forget the bold.]
Example heal: ‘Kirby heals for +2 HP

Examples of using Specials of most types (don’t forgets the same formats for damage and heals):

Luigi’s Fireball ability - ‘Luigi uses Fireball to hit Ice Climbers for -4 damage
Link’s Spin Attack - ‘Link uses Spin Attack to hit Zelda and Kirby for -3 damage each
Zelda’s Nayru’s Love - ‘Zelda uses Nayru’s Love to heal for +4 HP’ [Note: Nayru’s Love also reflects the next attack against Zelda back at the attacker or other effects to be revealed later.]

Luigi’s Fireball ability - ‘Luigi uses Fireball to hit Ice Climbers for-4 damage
Link’s Spin Attack - ‘Link use Spin Attack to hit Zelda and Kirby for -3 damage each
Zelda’s Nayru’s Love - ‘Zelda uses Nayru’s Love to heal for +4 HP’ [Note: Nayru’s Love also reflects the next attack against Zelda back at the attacker.]

Ness’s PK Magnet - This is an automatic ability. Ness can not attack or heal, but absorbs all attacks sent his way for the current round.
Mewtwo’s Teleport - This is also automatic. Mewtwo can not attack, heal, or be attacked for the current round.

Round 2 Notes:
1: Healing is allowed from here to the end.
2: There have been some changes to the Attack System, so please re-read everything. Those that don't like the new system should lay off using weapons and specials and stick with the simple format.
3: To Ness lovers: He can not attack or heal, but this is the round to attack Ness. Each attack will heal him for +3 instead of only +2.
4: Ness can not be targeted by Yoshi. I forgot the Yoshi could jinx Ness' special. Sorry.
5: Don't worry about being an expert with the new rules right away. Ease into them and ask questions.

This Round's Weapons:
2 Super Scopes: -1 damage to up to four characters, or -2 damage for up to two characters, or -4 damage to one character

This Round's Specials:
Ness - PK Magnet: This is an automatic ability. Ness can not attack or heal, but absorbs all attacks sent his way for the current round.
Yoshi - Egg Lay: -2 damage to one character and target can not attack or heal for the rest of the round, or two characters can not attack or heal for the rest of the round. (Please be specific with which effect so action can be easily determined).
Bowser - Fire Breath: -1 damage to three characters

Quick but important poll!
If you want to be polled (no need to enter), please post what timezone you are in, based on GMT. I am in PST which is GMT -8. This way I can keep track of double posts better. Thank you!

Just a question before I make my attack. Can weapons and specials be used in the same post? Or can only one person use one weapon/special a day?

And the new format is very welcomed.=D

I'll go ahead and just assume you can't and can only do one action per round:

Yoshi uses Egg Lay on two characters-Samus and Pichu. Samus can't heal and Pichu can't heal

Weapons can only be used by characters not using a special or suffering an effect. This round, anyone but Bowser, Yoshi and Ness can use the Super Scopes.

Each weapon and special are single use, unless otherwise noted. I will give how many of each weapon there are, like there are two Super Scopes this round.

Use of a weapon or special counts as the player's action. You can not use both at once.

Thank you! That makes two of us. But the 'new' format was really the first format, and the other format was created right before the game started. I hope the simpler format works.

Also, Samus and Pichu can not attack thanks to Yoshi.

Yes, you could have posted about 4 hr ago since you last action was at about 2PM your time.

Fox uses a Super Scope on Link and Young Link dealing -2 damage to both.

Mon Jan 30, 2006 4:51 am

What do you have against Link? T_T

You probably think he's too good-looking... that's why ;).

Pooie, I should have waited until the update XP.

Ok, if a character can only attack once in a round, does that mean that we have to keep track of everybody elses timezones in order to post the next attack when we want to use that character?

Oh, and nice set Divine.

No, just keep track of the round. Each round is based off of the 1700-ish PST update I'll make. When I update, then everyone can attack again. No need to wait for anyone but me :D

Also, hope the bus gets me home on time. That is the real determining factor on when I get home to update.

(Link is free to attack again if that is what you were really asking ;) )

You will never understand! Link's a heartbreaker and that's all. :O

I have to attack them both because normally you would only have to kill the one in the past to make the one in the future non-existant, but Link is weird like that. :F

What is it with you and taking out the space-time continuum? First you paradoxically use Sheik to beat up Zelda. Now you want to create another paradox by killing Y Link before Link. Quit messing with physics!

Mon Jan 30, 2006 6:27 am

Pikachu attacks Ness for -3 damage

Mon Jan 30, 2006 6:32 am

Haha... stop messing with Physics? I was brought into this world to make things fall up. ;)

Zelda stop punching yourself. :O

I don't know where that laser hole in your gut came from Link, it certainly has nothing to do with going into the past and shooting small children with pointy ears in tunics that look like you. :O

Roy attacks Fox for -3 damage.
