General question, are there going to be themed weeks, like in American Idol, and other such shows?

i dont know, would you guys like that?
i think i'd be kind of hard, because you'd have to learn songs, and i dont think a lot of people can learn AND sing a song well easily

I personally think it'd be interesting, and would provide a variety and mix in what people are singing. I don't think learning lyrics is a huge problem, as the contestant gets to choose a song anyway, they probably won't wade into totally unfamiliar territory, and really, you can scroll through a lyrics site and pick up things quite easily. I know for certain I've never really had a will nor purpose to listen to, or sing along to Fergalicious, heh, and it didn't take me that long to pick up most of it (though not really displayed by the quality of mine, hehe).

Haha, that'd be nice, so I have less to choose from. x_x I couldn't decide which song to do until I did that 5 minutes before I turned it in. :\ With a certain restriction, it'd be so much easier.

It might also be fun, having people wade into waters they're not comfortable with. That way it shows different sides, blah blah, insert generic explanation here.

But I will have to pull out if you can't wait another 12 hours for mine... I feel really bad now... I do have a pathetic version of All Grown Up from Bare: A Pop Opera I did...

I think it's a good idea, provided it's a broad theme or open to interpretation, so someone doesn't get stuck with no songs that fit it.

but would the contestants have the time to do researching, and finding the right songs?

Is it okay if I sorta enter again? I know I pulled out but I found a mic =D My song is Tomorrow by Avril Lavigne. I made 1 or 2 mistakes but I really dont have time to fix it >.> Also, I know I can't sing at all so be as harsh as you want =D Some of the high bits are a bit painful Oh and if the words seem to be speeding ahead of me, when your listening, its me thats on the right timing (most of the time) not the words. I dunno, its doing that with me too when I replay what I've recorded. its wierd -shrugs- Annnyway.

I think that there's one problem with having theme weeks and that is the fact that in the United States, we're entering Spring Break mayhem. Schools all over the country will be out of session for a week, but it's different for every school. I know that for my own recordings, if we're doing a theme, I'll need to know 2 weeks ahead of time due to my vacation and inability to be near my recording equipment since it can't come on the plane with me. If we're not doing themes, people can record their songs ahead of time so that no one will miss anything while people are potentially on vacation. If it wasn't for that aspect, I'd be all for it.

Well, I wouldn't say it would be too hard to decide a theme, inspiration could simply be taken from the real show... as in basically, steal the categories from there. Just a simple idea. Personally, I think the judges/organisers should get together, heh, and just decide what to do. Being a lowly contestant, it's not my responsibility to make the final decisions.

I thought the song was a fairly good choice for your voice, but it may suit your vocals more to pick a song with a slightly higher range. Overall, good job ^^

I wasn't very happy with the song you chose, I feel that it really didn't suit your voice. I want to hear something a little more... pop? from you, perhaps. Also, watch out for your pitch, it was all over the place on many of the notes. I feel that you have a very nice voice, you just need to work on your delivery. Formal training would do absolute wonders for you. Can't wait to hear you sing a different song, I'll have a better grasp on your talent once I do. *nod nod*

First of all, I could BARELY hear you. There's no way ANY voice will sound good when the singer is practically whispering. Second, your song was only 30 seconds long, I'm not sure if you had trouble with the uploading or what, but it made it very hard to judge

You have a very pleasing, clear voice, but you need to watch out, occasionally you sing through your nose. I'd suggest holding your nose while practicing as I suggested earlier. You were on pitch throughout most of the songs, but on some of the lower notes it seemed like you couldn't quite get there. I'd suggest picking a song with a higher range next time. Overall nicely done

You seem to have a great voice, but... you didn't seem very enthusiastic. I've suggested this before as well, but try smiling when you sing. You hit the notes well, I didn't really notice a problem with pitch, it's just the seeming lack of enthusiasm that really gets to me about this song. It's a very fun song, and your voice really didn't convey that.

hmm... you were very off of the notes, I'm thinking you might not know the song very well? Next time I'd suggest really learning the song prior to performing it. Also you were off pitch, but you sound like you have a very nice voice... I really want to hear you perform a different song.
